We visited with a Groupon and enjoyed a delicious vegetarian platter for two featuring homemade injera---a light spongy bread for dipping and eating the veggies with your hands. There was enough on our platter to feed 4. We also enjoyed two of the appetizers: a sambas and kategna. What a treat for the palate. Our visit would not have been... More

The atmosphere was very nice. More traditional seating and seating with table and chairs. Menu featured larger 2-4 person options as well as individual orders. Location is good with good parking.

I didn't know what to expect, so I entered with an open mind. My friend and I didn't really bother reading the menu, so we asked the waiter what he would suggest. He picked the most expensive combination dinner for 2. We went with that, and a bottle of the honey wine. The decor was interesting and the restaurant was... More

Everything went smoothly for out first experience with Ethiopian cuisine. The restaurant was busy and all were enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent and delicious. We all enjoyed the honey wine--sweet and refreshing--along with vegetarian and meat selections.

We used a Groupon for a chicken and beef platter for two. The food came quickly, and the servers were quite welcoming. As seems to be traditional with Ethiopian food, it comes on a large, communal platter, with rolls of thin bread to pick up the food--no silverware. Ours included chicken, beef, hard-boiled eggs, several types of cooked vegetables, and... More

I would say our meal was very average. I agree with some other reviews on the dinner for two combo, just nothing that wowed me. A little explanation of what was what on the round platter would have been helpful. Waitress didn't seem to be with it. We like to try new places so we don't go back unless we... More

First, we are not ethiopian food "experts." We have eaten ethiopian food a number of times, but I make no claim to the authenticity of the food, just how it tasted. And it tasted good! We enjoyed the appetizers, especially the lentil sambusa, although the beef sambusa and the kategna were good too. We ordered the chicken and beef combo... More

We really wanted to like this restaurant, but we're dearly disappointed by food quality and quantity of the dinner combo for two. Not enough food for two very slender women, that says a lot. At $34 for two pieces of meager drumsticks, a handful of 'steak tartare' (aka minced meat) and a few slivers of stew with the potatoes, a... More

We went to this restaurant for my son’s birthday per his choice. It really was a good choice. It’s a small place on the Milwaukee east side. We could have been seated at a table but chose to sit in chairs around a basket type stand on which our large tray with food was placed. We ate with our fingers... More

My husband and I shared one of the combo platters for two. Each item was better than the last. We had Ethiopian beer with our meal, and our bill was less than $40. Be prepared to eat with your fingers! Super fun place!
