Went to pick up an order for a red velvet cake, and picked up three more in addition!! Wonderful people, wonderful cakes. They corrected a spelling mistake instantly, and made sure I was completely satisfied before payment. Their Tres Leches cake was to die for....Awesome place, and highly recommend it.More

My wife and I decided to use Simma’s for our wedding cake and several dessert platters. We had previously had good experiences with them for other family events. On the day of the wedding Simma’s delivered an undecorated wedding cake with a missing tier. We...had ordered a two tier cake with decorations so this was beyond a simple mistake. Unfortunately due to this we were unable to serve cake to our head table as the single tier was unacceptably decorated and not large enough for everyone to enjoy. In addition to this, the desserts ordered were dry and much worse quality than what we had tried at the tasting. After learning the owner of Simma’s daughter had her wedding on the same day as ours, it all started to make sense. She was unable and unwilling to put forth the proper effort for our cakes and desserts as she was too distracted with her own daughters event. While somewhat understandable, do not take on an order you and your staff cannot fulfill successfully. The staff at Simma’s could not even be bothered to look at our cake to make sure it matched the description of what was ordered before delivery to the venue. Overall I would not recommend using them for any critical events like a wedding, or frankly anything at all. I hope Simma’s will make things right but we have not heard anything from their end at this point in time.More

I paid in advance snd ordered for my sons college graduation. The women who took my order described beautiful graduation decorating for this occasion. It tool 45 minutes to pick up and other special orders were all wrapped and ready to go. NOT Mine. The...clerk offered decorations I could place on my cake. Some disappointed feeling. Fool me once, never again.More

Just had a party and we ordered a cheesecake. While pricey, you get what you pay for. Have had Simma's a number of times in the past and the quality has remained consistently excellent!

I just have to say besides Simma’s being my favorite bakery, the service is over the top amazing. I walk up to the front, 4 month old in tow, only to find the doors locked. I wish I would of caught her name but the...sweetest lady let me in to buy a cake.More

They were so nice and helpful until there was an issue with my cake Wedding was 09/03/2022 I contacted them on their next business day. I advised Meredith that the cake did NOT taste as it did at the tasting she said she would call...me back..2 day went by without a call. I called them back, they wanted a sample of the cake I brought them 1 1/2 of the cake they said they would get with their team and call back, that didn't happen, 24 hours later I call them back and spoke with Peggy an was told they tasted a cake that was 6 days old and nothing was wrong with the cake and sometimes people try returning the cake after the couples do not eat it all at the wedding. For the record I love love love cakes cupcakes, little Debbie cakes you name it an would/could eat most of the cake alone l also have 7 year old twins that loves cake an they would probably eat the rest lol but they also didn't like it.. My twins came with me to return the cake and she screams out " that cake was nasty" After speaking with Peggy, I felt like they didn't believe me an calling me a liar. I'm a christians women that believes in GOD and my spirit does not operate that way..They kept the cake and told me they could give me a 8"cake. NO! I will NEVER patronize your bakery again! Please be careful of the fake smiles and lovely attitudes! (I really thought they cared about making this cake an me having the best experience ever, boy, was I wrong! My cake doesn't even look like what she told me it would.More

I live between Racine and Kenosha but I will travel to Wauwatosa just for Simma's. I've never had a bad experience. Making random selections of the treats behind the glass, dropping $25-50 on a box for a family get-together, or to spoil your mom, will...never fall flat. Moist, nuanced, interesting, and many items to choose from which change with each visit. I make it a point to head up here once a year. Go, choose 4 items, and split them with friends. It's all worth the calories.More

This bakery is so cute and they have the best deserts around. They’re family owned and well known for their cheesecake. Stopping by here is an absolute must when you’re in Wauwatosa.

Simma's cheesecake is famous in MKE, and probably anywhere people have eaten it: the heavy, "New York style", I think. Not too sweet, just luscious. Hard to describe tastes for another person. The carrot cake has several layers of cream cheese frosting, nuts in the...cake itself as well as scattered on the frosting. No raisins, which is important for some people. Moist. Great. The decorations on any cake will be lovely. There are smaller items, like cheese cake squares, cupcakes. Located in interesting shopping area in wealthier suburb of MKE. Simma was an engineer in USSR, as story goes, who could not practice her profession in US so turned to baking...More
