I have lunch here 2 to 4 times a month, I just can't help it. It was great when they only had a few beers on tap with all the great sandwiches, now they have many local beers on tap. I almost always have a...More

I live in a nearby county and I have been stopping by here for a cold beer and fresh sandwich since my dad was taking me as a teenager (50+ years). If your are in Monroe as a visitor stop by. Nothing fancy just inexpensive...More

Walked into this little tavern for a quick bite. Thank goodness for being a single tourist because the bartender found a spot for me at the bar despite the crowd. I noticed the patrons having fun with hoots of laughter as attempts to throw money...More

This place is worth the trip from anywhere. Great food and beers with a warm ambience. People are often lined up at Baumgartner's for a reason. The cheese or sausage sandwiches are presented on great bread and served with wonderful soup. Wash it all down...More

Charming local place, with numerous beer choices and homemade style sandwiches. Not gourmet just fresh bread, meat and cheese. A good pit stop on the town square.

If you want an authentic experience without too much decisionmaking, order the cheese plate and some drinks. Add the limburger if you're adventurous. Either way, it's a simple, fun meal that's best enjoyed in the outdoor seating area.

Stopped here after recommendation from Cheesemaking tour. Beer was good, staff was great, food was great. Just with the sandwich came with a side. We were still hungry when we left.
