Found this cozy little spot for a Wednesday lunch in February (after finding not many places open in Sister Bay). It was worth the hunt and the stop. Good selection of salads and a few sandwiches and wraps. Very friendly service.

I go to Base Camp every time I'm in the area. Their maple lattes are delicious and their breakfast treats are delectable. No complaints.

A must stop for caffeine in the area. Great drip coffee and espresso drinks. Excellent baked goods as well. The cherry turnover I had this past week was awesome!

I stopped in with a group of seven and found this place to be quite charming. My mocha was delicious but I spent as much time in line waiting for service as I did enjoying my beverage once it arrived. Granted, this was on a busy Saturday visit, but just be forewarned.

Excellent coffees and other upscale and interesting beverages. Owner practices green techniques from farm-to-table and thoughtful handling of eating ware. Owner/chef actual French chef who truly cares about the town and its residents. Fantastic bakery creations as well as luncheon fare. Does not disappoint. Revolving art exhibits, lively discussions abound.

This place is located in the basement of an old church. It's a couple of blocks away from the main area of town but worth the extra steps of pedals. I had a fantastic Breakfast Burrito filled with Kale potatoes and feta spread. All of the coffees are excellent.

I love to pick up a coffee at base camp. I'm definitely a latte or fun expresso drink kinda girl. I stop at least once per door county trip and I'm never disappointed. But this time I was disappointed because the cute Ecology store above the coffee shop was gone!! It has moved to downtown Sisters Bay. It seemed like... More

Base Camp Coffee Bar is a little north of Sister Bay and a bit hard to find as it is in the lower level of a clothing store which is no longer in business at that site, but it is well worth the effort. Park in the parking lot, enter the door and you are transported to a European cafe.... More

Our family visited 3 times in 5 days during a recent trip to Sister Bay. Slightly north of town, the walk was worth it. The owner is French and the fresh made pastries are delicious! Get there early to make sure you snag an almond pastry before they sell out.
