Long overdue review. My buddy and I stopped here the first time for their hot fresh coconut bread. When we had more time to sit down we enjoyed a great breakfast. I had french toast she had a mango filled with yogurt and granola. The food is great as is the staff. The views though wow!! We came here a... More

The Coffee Shack has the best breakfast and lunch! The staff is very friendly, the view is unbeatable of Kealakekua Bay, and the food is fantastic! Grab a chicken salad sandwich on house made luau bread with a Liliquoi mimosa and you will be in heaven!

Nice view and that's about all the good that I can give for this famed breakfast or lunch stop. We had two orders of egg's Benedict that were some of the worst that I have experienced, served cold and lifeless, my wife was fortunate to have the sauce on the side which saved some of the taste pain. The coffee... More

Good food and service. The view is wonderful. The place sits on a mountainside with miles of ocean views. Mahalo, Leo & Marie

The Coffee Shack is a wonderful place for lunch when doing the coffee farm tours. The sandwiches are delicious with choice of bread. I like the luau bread with carrots and macadamia nuts. One sandwich is enough for two people to share and the only charge $1.00 extra to share (extra pickle and banana pepper and probably a few extra... More

We stopped by for a light breakfast - just toast and jam and coffee. I love the luau bread as well as the flowers, the view and the super cute geckos.

I have passed this place a hundred times and it is always packed. I finally decided to stop by with family and friends and was sure glad I did. We had breakfast overlooking Kealakekua bay from up on the cliffs. This place gives you thick home made bread with your eggs and cottage fries and everyone in our party was... More

We go here every time we visit the Place Of Refuge as it's on the way. When driving the belt road, ;you come up on the Coffee Shack very quickly, so you've got to be ready to pull over and park with very little notice. Great ambiance and a view that's unbelievable as you're at around 1,000 feet of elevation... More

Cute, cozy cafe with a dynamite view. Great fresh cooked breakfasts with more than enough on your plate. The Luau Bread toast is to die for. You dining buddies-Geckos-are fun to watch and they don't bother you at all. Parking can be tricky but worth the trouble and sometimes you may have a little wait for a table but again... More
