One of our favorite Hawi haunts had closed down so we tried Bamboo for the first time. Wonderful little place with great service! We tried all the ice teas (very tasty) and then dove into a Hawaiian pork sandwich with slaw and waffle fries on...More

Little Hawi has it's own vibe--Paradise at (nearly) the end of the road, happy to have tourist "support", but definitely goes it's own way, especially a block or two off the main road. The Bamboo is a perfect reflection of Hawi. The food is fresh...More

I know people rave about this place, but we’ve been here three times and never really enjoyed it. Service is very good, but the dishes are small for the price, and this time my quesadilla was soggy. Ick. Husband’s salad with chicken had just a...More

Service is excellent. Kimi the hostess is very entertaining. The Ribeye is better than you get on the mainland.

Loved their happy hour. Great drink specials. I had the passionfruit margarita, their specialty. So good. Also a bunch of pupu’s ( appetizers) reasonably priced. Great local music- guys playing the ukulele. Great atmosphere, too. I didn’t eat dinner, but the menu looked interesting.

Hawi is the quaintest of towns; loved it! Bamboo is an equally fabulous restaurant. The waiting staff were super friendly and the fish and ribs were delicious! A very fun evening with live music and dancing and the gift shop and gallery are also great.

Frank, the pick up driver for Alamo, told us, "Definitely stop here for lunch." Great advice! They open at 11:30, just the time we arrived in Have, so in we went. The list of drinks looked so enticing, we broke down and each had one...More

Decided to just stop in after driving about the Hawi area....surprised by the great grass fed beef burger, cooked perfectly with the BEST cross cut fries! Service was great (until trying to get final tab, odd) and staff friendly. It was so great we went...More

Hi gang, Been to Hawi (pronounced hah-vee) before but never had lunch there. Upon a recommendation we walked in, seated right away. Decor is very Hawaiian, this old building has been the site of a general store, restaurant, bunkhouse and even a brothel to satisfy...More
