I love Indian Cuisine but this place didn't turn up as per expectations. The servicing needs to be improved. Overall experience was good but the food could have been much better.

My boyfriend and I stopped here for an early dinner but NEVER AGAIN. We had THE WORST FOOD EVER at this Hilo restaurant. The food all tasted alike and very bland. My boyfriend and I were so sick, he had stomach cramps and I was even sicker than he was. It was so difficult to understand the man who took... More

if you are visiting the Hilo area and craving for Indian food, this one is a must visit place. The food and service were both just awesome. They use locally grown vegetables and prepare some wonderful food. We had their Maharashtrian Vegetable Curry, Bisibelebath, Daal, Paratha and Mango+Guava Lassi. All items were prepared well and were right sized portions. Daal:... More

We were wandering around Hilo with the rain pouring down, and the delicious aromas wafting from the door pulled us in. Vegan/vegetarian, a very extensive menu of choices. We started with the green papaya salad (a bit like celeriac or cucumber) with a tamarind dressing, tomatoes and avocado, very refreshing. I had the eggplant vindaloo which was just spicy enough... Coming from bay area, we have no shortage of Indian food. So I had no mood to eat Indian food while at Hilo, and i just happened to pass by Prabha's on my way to Surplus store. I decided to check out the food purely out of curiousity, and I ordered their combo plate. It was deliciously made, and I... More

I had heard that Prabha's is an authentic southern Indian vegetarian restaurant, run by Indians from southern India. I have been to India, am somewhat familiar with the taste of the cuisine, and had high expectations. There are lunch specials that seemed reasonably priced, but I went for dinner. Well, three TripAdvisor stars means "Average" and that exactly describes what... More

This is a wonderful little restaurant, serving excellent curries. I had the eggplant vindaloo, and it was as good, if not better, than the best Indian restaurants I have enjoyed in Seattle. The green onion Pratta was exceptional - fresh made and nice and flakey, the way it should be in the best restaurants. Don't pass up a chance to... More

This is the best Indian food ever. It is strictly veg and vegan. Some of the reviews have this restaurant confused with another restaurant that serves meat.

Great Food and good people from Nepal that own this restaurant. I love their vegetarian food but the lamb and chicken and shrimp dishes look very nice too!

This is a new Indian Restaurant. It's main feature is the buffet, available lunch and dinner. All food is organic. Especially caters to vegans. No eggs, meat used. We went there for the weekday lunch buffet.
