Good eats in a historic setting in old town Hilo. View of the bay. I had a salad with chicken. Greens were fresh and chicken spiced just right. Good service. Priced about average for islands.

Found this great place when walking downtown. We ate here 3 times during our stay. Very nice wait staff, good drink menu, perfect pizza, calzones, shrimp and scallops.... we made some friends and took them there. No more pricey than any other place we ate.

For an upmarket, jewel in the downtown Hata Building, this restaurant seems to try hard to please older clientele with bland food. Any Thai restaurant claiming the Thai fish dish that I ordered was a curry would have closed by the next day. My wife...More

Cafe Pesto - nice italian menu with a variety of salads pizzas, and Italian dishes. Friendly staff and they had a very good musician playing when we were there.

Chose Cafe Pesto for having vegan and locally influenced options. Some dishes executed better than others but overall good meal and service. I had the rack of lamb special that was very good, which it should be for $36. Seafood risotto is nicely presented but...More

This night none of our group was extremely hungry but all wanted something to eat. We chose Cafe Pesto and were delighted. We each had a cocktail and each was very good. We then decided on pizza and again we were delighted with our choices....More

Good pizza place that also does pasta and other italian style mains. Reasonable prices and has gluten free options - although no gluten free pizza. Suggest you make a booking as it seems to be busy
