It's the restaurant in the golf course clubhouse, so it's sort of sports bar casual. But not too noisy. Seems to be a favorite of locals. Friendly, efficient service. We'd definitely go back.

We have made it a pilgrimage to eat at Roy's every time we are on the island. And until this visit, we have been thrilled with the service, attention and the meal. This visit, we made the mistake of having (what we thought was going...More
I have had a chance to dine with my colleagues in this restaurant. In general, it is a very pleasant experience. I have made an advanced reservation a few hours before. In case you would like to get a table that has a clear view...More

Met up with family and reservations seem to be recommended, which we had. More of a dressier place, like a dress casual. Someone had the scallops dish which was reported as very good but priced at $54 for 4 scallops. I had 2 appetizers as...More
We have dined at this Roy's location over the years, but this visit was a disappointment. Service was uneven, husband's Mahi Mahi dry and overcooked and my Ahi tough. The chocolate soufflé was the only part of the meal that was up to past standards....More
Roy's on the Big Island went through a period where food and service was not as good as it once was, though prices were still as high as ever. Having had some bad experiences there, I was concerned this restaurant was on its way out,...More
