We LOVED the bagel and lox and the "feta mo betta" bagel! Fresh ingredients, quality preparation, and some really cool local art to admire and purchase. Been coming to Kauai for 20 years and just discovered Java Kai. Looking forward to coming back again.

Java Kai has great coffee and scoobie snacks! I would rate this higher if it weren't so expensive! But if you dont mind paying a little more, then you will love their brekkies and java. As they say, you get what you pay for and that is true at Java Kai!

I class this to be a 'downunder' style cafe similar to those in Australia and NZ. Good selection of espresso coffees and healthful small food options. Long queues but fairly fast service. Kept me caffeinated after a few weeks in the islands!

We were staying at a hotel within walking distance of downtown Kapaa so came to Java Kai multiple times during our stay (we wanted to try out more places but couldn't choose anywhere else after going here!) The waffle especially was amazing! The coffee was good too but we absolutely loved all the food we tried.

This was our favorite spot for coffee while staying in Kauai. We also shared a Pork Breakfast Burrito one morning it was very fresh and tasty! Would definitely recommend this place!

Went here for breakfast, both my wife and I had the waffle. It was ok. It was nice that it was open at 6:00 am as it was our first morning on the island and our bodies hadn't acclimated to the time change. Didn't try the coffee, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Just wasn't a fan of... More

Delicious! I loved my Blue Hawaiian smoothie and my husband loved his flashbrew! There are a lot of little shops around here too that are fun!

Funky locals and bland tourists alike flock to this place for good coffee and great breakfast food. Though expensive (as all food in Kauai seems to be) it is tasty and fulfilling. We had the breakfast burrito on multiple occasions but my favorite was the surfer girl breakfast bagel. The bagels melt in your mouth and the muffins are pretty... More

This is your basic coffee shop. Not stellar but not bad either. They will give you a caffeine buzz reasonably

It's a hipster joint, so you will either love it or be annoyed by it. The coffee is very good and they have a small breakfast menu that was reasonably tasty that is moderately price. Overall a good breakfast stop in Kapaa.
