Tucked away in a Foodland Grocery and McDonalds anchored strip mall (some empty spaces, including a long ago abandoned bankrupt Blockbuster), is Shivalik Indian Cuisine, a hidden jewel in the crown of Kapaa restaurants. D e l I c I o u s ! We were craving Indian Food, an unusual choice for Easter and while in Hawaii. The exterior... More

We visited this restaurant actually in April 2016. The Samosa Chat was fabulous - never had such tasty chat before. Food was absolutely delicious, however, the decor needs to be updated to something vibrant. It looks a little gloomy inside. It was a surprise to know that the cook was also from Nepal. He was very friendly and courteous. We... More

Hidden in a strip mall in Kapaa this is an absolute must. I have eaten Indian food all over the US and this is the best for sure period. I wish it had not taken me so long to try it however I will drive from Kalaheo just to eat there for dinner. The Palak Paneer & Lamb Vindaloo is... More

This place was near my hotel. The buffet sign got me since I'm vegan and gluten-free. They actually did have meat dishes too. I can honestly say, this was an amazing place!! The food was incredibly delicious. Just noticing the other reviewers, not sure what the heck happened to them. So well spiced and flavorful!! Totally recommend!!!

Truly great Indian food, though it is served family style and can get spendy ordering everything separately. I will have to check back and try the buffet on Wednesday or Friday.

This is apparently the only Indian Restaurant on the island, and thus was a nice change to what we'd been eating other places. The curry, biryani and naan were tasty. The Roti bread was tasteless. They mixed up which of the orders we wanted hot vs. not (for our 8 year old daughter), but upon telling them, they quickly created... More

The Christmas Day dinner buffet was average at best - the highlight being the standard chicken tikka masala that nearly any Indian restaurant worldwide can get right. This restaurant had Christmas Day monopolized in Kauai as you can imagine there was not much open that day - therefore, we really had no choice and being Indian we thought we'd proudly... More

We were a party of 4 with grown up kids grabbing lunch prior to heading back from our week long trip to Kauai. The reviews concerned us but we decided to try it anyway since it was the last day of the trip. The lunch buffet was belowaverage with naan undercooked. When the bill came, yes you guessed it, there... More
