We were directed to this store by a young lady who runs an ice cream business nearby, when we asked for the location of a natural foods store. Selection was great, prices were reasonable, staff and overall atmosphere was very friendly.

While I LOVE this place, which is a small Whole Foods, I REALLY miss the outside table and chairs. There other location had a much better feel, along with the ability to enjoy your goodies right then and there...sitting in your car in the parking lot eating just doesn't cut it. :-( PLEASE Papaya's ...spring for outdoor seating...

Small but packed full of good stuff. Really enjoyed the coconut spinach soup served hot. Very helpful staff. We will be visiting many times on our vacation.

Everything here caters to special diets, I.e., vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc. The small cafe does delicious taro burgers and fish tacos/burritos.

Papayas is a place where all those who are "called" to Kauai uncannily end up <3 It's true! I don't know how or why, but it just happens, over and over again. Papayas is the place to be... to just eat, chill, people watch or socialize. It's the local meetup and a great place to meet new people and locals.... More

This place is is awesome..great food and selection...great customer service!! The prices are high compared to other health food stores but they are a business catering to the travelers...I shop here for emergency items or rare items that might be out in other places...the made food they sell is amazing and reasonably priced..best Ahi Nori Wrap ever...

Stopped by for a quick lunch. A completely organic food store with a cafe serving fresh food. Great vegetarian options. Really loved the Taro Burger.

If you're into healthy eating, you'll love Papaya's. They have a fabulous produce section, and good choices in all departments. Knowing how high prices are in natural food stores on the Mainland, we were concerned that they'd be astronomical in Kauai. While there are no bargains, we found the pricing quite manageable.

This was my main place to buy food and eat. Being vegetarian is not the easiest on an island that is surrounded by fish. They have a small food bar, sandwiches, veggie rolls, protein bars, organic products and much much more. Was grateful to have this as an option. And saves on prices that are charged for meals in restaurants.... More
