This local grocery caters to locals and has a fantastic deli in the rear. I knew it was going to be good when they were lined up three deep around the meat and seafood cooler! But you take a number and your turn occurs quickly. Wasabi Ahi Poke was superb and wife's Butterfish in styrofoam container was the best meal... More

We slurped over $100 on the poke and all were yummy. The Wasabi Poke was our #1 choice. Excellent service as they let you taste before you buy. A must stop in Waimea.

I had some people visiting me at the Waimea Plantation Cottages and Ishihara's market fixed me up with some tasty Island treats for the people stopping by. Dan (the guy behind the counter) did a great job suggesting some things that worked out well. So, if you are in Waimea and you are looking for take out to go the... More

Their poke is hands down the best on the island. We went on a poke mission if you will. We came back for seconds before leaving. The locals all recommend this little market. While on a sunset sail, our crew said they're a commercial fisherman and Ishihara gets the freshest fish on the island. Be sure to stop and get... More

Stopped here on our trip to see Waimea Canyon. Gotta try a plate lunch, but come early as it's a locals favorite and can run out of some items later in the day. Onolicious!

This poke is the stuff of which dreams are made. Get there early - otherwise the locals will leave you with slim pickings after the lunch hour. The poke is not only delicious, but it is also fantastic on the wallet!

Easily the best stop for poke on Kauai and a fun market to visit as well! The deli staff are not only pleasant, but they are happy to educate their clientele about their wide variety of poke options- samples are included. I was highly impressed with the service I received, the quality of the poke, the variety of options, and... More

My favorite poke on Kauai! Take a number at the counter and plan your meal while you wait for your turn. You can order as much or as little as you like, mix and match from the poke bar, and pick up sides like rice and wakame. The ahi was melt-in-your mouth tender and perfectly seasoned. We stopped here on... More

We stopped late, near closing, so the selection was limited. It's a simple grocery with an amazing guy concocting amazing combinations of seafood and savory flavors. The cucumber salad was the best I've ever had. The octopus was incredible, and I typically avoid that.

This is such an amazing market! The poke is incredible. We stopped here for breakfast and lunch on separate days. I liked it so much that I ended up getting one of the polo shirts to take home. There are plenty of places within a few minutes drive after to enjoy the poke with a great view. I want to... More
