THe service was friendly and helpful. Trying to choose a flavor was hard because of all the choices but take your time and read the menu and you'll find the right flavor. ENJOY!

The local frozen treat known as shaved ice is a must-do for any trip to the island. Local Boy has 2 strengths - the number of flavors and the add-ons. The number of flavors available is immense and almost is a disadvantage as it makes the decision that much harder. I recommend going with a pre-set combination or ordering what... More

When we come to Maui, we always hit Local Boys. We hadn't been to the one in Kihei Town, but tried it today and it is as great as Lahaina! My favorite is the volcano with coconut ice cream and Kauai cream. Glad to know I have different options on the island! Check them out!

Small shack in downtown but serve fantastic shaved ice. Went here 4 or 5 times and always good whether with ice cream or just plane. Loved it every time. Big and Good!!

Yummy shaved ice with a lot of different flavor options. It was smooth with no chunks of ice. They had flavor combinations you could choose from or create your own. The great thing about this place is that the add on's are already included in your price so you can have things like the cream on top and ice cream... More

We have tried a few shave ice shops in Maui, but this was our favorite... mostly because it is slightly cheaper than the most popular one in town, AND you get FREE toppings/icecream. The workers are very friendly, and I would definitely recommend checkin' them out!

I always thought Shave(d) Ice was 'just' a snow cone... OH MY GOODNESS, it is Not...it is SO much better...ESPECIALLY if you get it from Local Boy(s). They pack the ice and give free toppings... Packing the ice actually keeps it IN the cup, not floating all around like uncontrolled snowflakes. And their flavors are yummy, I loved Tiger's Blood... More

Some say Ululani is better but I tried Local Boys in Kihei and Lahaina locations. You will wait but you won't be disappointed. Be sure to get ice cream on the bottom and cream on the top of your shave ice. Get exotic or go old school with your flavor combinations. It doesn't matter how you build the shave ice... More

Shave Ice is a great dessert and Local Boys serves the best shave ice in Hawai'i--- many flavors and toppings to choose from.

Ok folks - as you're getting ready for your trip to Maui, you need to heed my advice: 1. Go to Local Boys in Kihei OR 2. Go to Local Boys in Lahaina. First, once you have a shave ice, you're going to want another, which begs, why wouldn't you want to eat a buy one, get one free every... More
