Decided to visit due to the multiple excellent reviews we had read. I am glad I did was able to cross it off. Nothing special ... service was good but the saimin was not.

we went here on the advice of our concierge. I didn't want anywhere pretentious or fussy and this definitely delivered. We loved it even though it was quite a hike from our hotel in Ko Olani. Totally local, located in a non descript strip mall and outstanding saimin dishes, which is what we call got except one son how tried... More

This place has a huge menu and good food. Family had lg saimin s and were very happy. It was tasty and BIG. The laulau was salty side but meaty, not much fat! Good tripe stew too

I came upon this hole-in-the-wall place quite by accident. My friends were looking for a shave ice experience while I was searching for something more substantial to satisfy my hunger. Although the environment has a slightly rundown strip mall feel, my takeout order of saimin with chicken cutlet and wun tun (2) was packaged nicely. The soup was hot and... More

Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Just fair tasting. After we finished our meals my daughter pulls a bug from her rice. Not mad as I know rice is made in bulk and prepared early. But not impressed. Wish I was brave enough to say something about the bug instead we paid and left to not go back... More

Great service, our server was warm and friendly and gave us suggestions on what to order. The saimin was just OK, but the country noodles were ono.

This was usually my first stop from the airport. If you are ever near this place, give yourself a great and stop by for a bowl of saimin(japanese noodles). They have so many varieties but I always end up ordering the dodonpa. You better be hungry cause it has everything in it! Love it!!! Order a couple bbq sticks with... More

This is where noodles is a specialty. A few are the favorites of known Hawaiian celebrities and named after them, But overall, you can't go wrong with any choice off the menu. It depends on your taste so go back multiple times to find your favorite. It will be worth your time, if you can do this. Bottom line is... More

I've been to Shiro's the last few times I visited Oahu and made it my first priority. The menu is extensive and there are many different choices. The portion is generous as well. I highly recommend it.

We met a local guy while at Pearl Harbor and he gave us several places to try for "good eats". One was Shiro's, about five minutes from Pearl Harbor. We really like Saimin and when we looked at the menu and had maybe 40 different types to choose from, we were blown away. Ok, all the Saimins are not necessarily... More
