The pastele plate was delicious . I am from puerto rico and the pastel has been the best i have had on Oahu . Staff is amazingly nice . They also sell the pasteles for $3.75 each . Considering how much work it is to make them - well worth it

I wish Trip Advisor's rating system was on a 10 scale so we could be a little more specific with our ratings. Sometimes a place can get stuck between stars and this is a perfect example. So if I have to make up my own rating, then it would have to be a 3.5 stars for this place. It's good... More

Went with three others to include a picky Puerto Rican. We ordered two Puerto Rican plates (pastele plate) and two hawaiin plates. Two of us gobbled ours up, one of each type. I had hawaiin and thought it was good, the other hawaiin plate got picked at, the diner thought the ti wrapped chicken looked icky. Hey just dig thru... More

Great combination plates, the tripe stew was amazing. The food portions were generous, and the service was great. My only complaint, the laulau was cold inside

When you drive past this strip mall, especially on a scooter as I did, you are assailed by a symphony of delicious smells. There are so many restaurants that it was hard to decide, so I asked the security guard where I could get good local food. He suggested Jackie's. It was an excellent suggestion. I ordered the Lau Lau... More

Haupia is Hawaiian coconut pudding. I looked high and low for good haupia and finally found this place. After eating at Shiro's Saimin Haven, go to this restaurant for Haupia for dessert. Two big pieces for $1.40. What a deal! Firm, with a slightly hard top crust. Strong coconut flavor. five-star Haupia.

Jackie's serves local food, Hawaiian and some Peurto Rican entrees. We were looking for some real, no frills, local food...like mom would cook if she was from the islands. This is it... My wife is an island girl. Not from Hawaii but the Pacific Islands. Jackie's is in a busy little strip center with many other ethnic restaurants. Jackie's was... More

They have the best Puerto Rican - Korean cuisine. They have the best bacalao (cod fish) salad, pork ribs, & kalua pork this side of the island. The quality & value of their food is consistently high. Customer service is tops. You can't go wrong visiting this place. Locals as well as non locals love the food. I make it... More

Every time we're in the Pearl City area and looking for a meal to take home, we stop here. We love their pastele plate with gondule rice and bacalao salad. Yum. Their Hawaiian food is also good. Nothing fancy, but satisfies the itch for local food.
