This is a tiny. basic place in a nondescript shopping centre in Kaneohe, a decent if uninteresting town. However, it has some of the best food we had in Hawaii, at least for the price. Portions are sizeable, prices low. The chicken items fried chicekn and especially furukake chicken- and kimchee are great. The biggest downside, apart from the limited... More

Ordered the friend chicken plate, so much chicken they had to wrap the extra pieces in foil as it wouldn't fit in the container. The mac salad is made with spaghetti noodles and its the best. Also got the chicken katsu, this was tasty also, not enough katsu sauce for the kitchen and wished they chopped the katsu into strips,... More

This place is always worth coming to! Fried chicken plate is always the best bang for the buck with 5 pieces of chicken and Mac salad that's like tuna casserole! I love the furikake chicken and i always get extra mac though! Their daily specials are also always good like Mahi Mahi and mochiko or korean! Everything here just $10.... More

This is great local food. The chicken is winners. Other items are really good. Service can be slow when busy.

Again, I used YELP then couldn't find the local gem without calling and asking for some guidance from the owner! But worth it. In a strip mall setting, near a Gengi Sushi place and a Long's Drugs and a Ross Dress for Less. Triangulate those three, you'll find KJ's. LOVED the fried chicken and the furikake chicken. I'd recommend getting... More

The chicken was good, my husband loves the furikake chicken. Its a small family owned business and is popular to the locals. If you want an authentic hawaiian food, this is the place to be.

My wife and my sister think I'm nuts for my devotion to local favorites like Moco Loco and Musubi.(KJs has a dose of jalapeño in with the Spam). Sometimes when you come out of the water you're just plain hungry. Locals told us about these Grindz and they were right. No plate over $10.

i only tried the fried chicken. it's not up to the quality of Jolibees, but it is excellent. for $9 you get 5 good sized thighs, 2 scoops rice, and mac salad. it's enough food to feed 2 adults. i'm thinking of catering fried chicken from them.

This small, family owned business has always served good food, good laughs, and good prices. My family and I have been eating here since they opened. They always have the typical plate lunch fare, and a huge list of specials, but the family favorites are furikake chicken, mochiko chicken, fried chicken, and garlic ahi/mahi. If you order any of those,... More

The best homemade fried chicken. Crispy skin and huge portions. Try their other dishes as well. It may be a hole in the wall mom and pops hangout, but it's a local favorite on the windward side
