We stopped here for breakfast. It isn't fancy by any means, but is simple, cute and delicious. Not expensive to eat here either.

What are your expectations? This is a very "local" joint. You get quick and abrupt service. You eat on paper with plastic and most important is they are CASH ONLY. Pancakes are just that, nothing super special, but man are they good. If you eat here you won't have to eat again until dinner. Not sure I would come here... More

Looking for a casual place to eat before we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center took us to Hukilau Cafe. Great find! Cheap and delicious, a combo fed 3 of us!! Get it to go or take a table and be waited on. We grabbed a table, ordered and waited just a short time for our huge plate of food.... More

Hukilau Cafe is located off the main drag in a residential neighborhood of Laie. The outside bespeaks its neighborliness and its down-home cooking. The menu is unsophisticated and adequate for breakfast and lunches. Portion sizes are large and the prices very reasonable. Service is friendly and is entirely local in its demeanor, making this an very pleasant breakfast experience for... More

Great little burger joint in Laie. Not hard to find. Laie isn't very big. Great burgers as well as local Hawaii plate dishes.

In reality we just wanted a place that was close to our morning excursion to eat. What we found was a famous restaurant with a very deep roots in the community. Even though there's a little bit of a wait we were able to get in and quickly get ordered due to studying the menu before we got there. I... More

My family tried this place out bc of the reviews and the 50 first dates movie. We went early so there was no wait. Parking is only on the street so if it gets busy, pretty sure it would be a problem. I had the loco moco. It was good, not great. My wife had the corn beef hash which... More

Read so much about cafe so obviously wanted to seek it out while on North shore. What a waste of time. It's a small hole in the wall off side street. Not fancy and not friendly service at all. Plates are made of foam. Steak was disgusting. Super thin and medium rare is definitely RARE. The only thing good was... More

First note this is a cash only restaurant. They are closed Sunday and Mondays and close at 2pm. It's a small very old restaurant that feels kinda dingy. Food is served on paper plates. The service was great... the breakfast food very average. I had the porkchops, they were thin and tough, plus homemade fried potatoes. My husband had the... More
