We stopped by right after visiting Dole & liked going thru the shops. We bought some items & were impressed to learn how the proceeds go to help those in need. Nice to know our purchases support causes rather than it just being a retail bottom line. Not a fancy place but worth the visit.

I had family visiting me from Toronto, Canada and we did everything on Oahu. My visitors said that the best meal they ever had during their 3 week visit to the Islands was at Helemano Plantation. I always take guests staying with me to Helemano Plantation for lunch.

Food, value of food were good. Place for Family, friends and no problem with business people. I marked cheap eats but if you order more food, it could run to mid range. I was there for a party and found the staff friendly and helpful.

Helemano Plantation's driveway is just next to the entrances to the Dole Pineapple Visitors Center on Kamehameha Hwy between Wahiawa and Haleiwa. It consists of a variety of buildings which house a restaurant, snack shop, curio store with antiques and estate jewelry, and t-shirt store. The establishment is to provide a place to help train folks with special needs and... More

It seems that the Helemano Plantation has added a wedding chapel section. It can service a small intimate wedding and buffet catering is available.

This place is charming. It sits right next to Dole...so it misses many, many folks...who probably don't even know it's there. The grounds are much smaller than Dole and obviously not as commercial. They are tended well and there are numerous photo opps...with cut-out fruit, etc. There is the main dining room that serves a wonderful buffet lunch from about 11AM... This is a truly hidden treasure on Oahu. There are sooo many picture opportunities with pineapple people cut outs every where and all sorts of fun statues on the grounds. They have a wonderful gift shop with so many interesting things and the prices are the most reasonable I've ever seen on the island. Park in the far side of... More

this is located next to the Dole Plantation and it grabbed my attention for the cute settings they have to pose behind a pineapple and kids huts. I believe most was about to close so we didn't get to enjoy their food but it looked relaxing and I'd go back again. I stopped at a few stores that had like... More

It's a great mystery - tourists swarm at the overpriced, commercial Dole plantation next door, yet Helemano is usually quiet! This is a working "plantation" for developmentally disabled adults, and everyone we have met there has been delightful. The lunch buffet, served from 11:00-2:00, is an amazing and delicious deal at $10. Much of the produce is harvested at Helemano... More
