Went to Havana with my family. Great atmosphere, and food. Staff was very accommodating, and even the owner came to our table and struck up a conversation. Great place to come back to. Nice menu variety, and delicious too.

Lots of restaurants in Bar Harbor are focused on tourism: in and out for a quick bite to eat. Lobster, clam chowder and blueberry pie. Havana is unique in many ways: table cloth-style restaurant, waiters with knowledge about the best wine to compliment the dish, unique flavors and not the cookie cutter menu. At Havana you can easily spend an... More

My friend and I expected to love our meal here... but we were disappointed. First, the good: The restaurant was cozy on a winter evening and very inviting. The service was wonderful- our waitress made suggestions and brought us fresh bread and refilled our water glasses without being asked. The dinners were a disappointment. My paella was over cooked and... More

We recently spent 10 days in Bar Harbor and went to a different restaurant every night, but were not able to match the excellence of Havanna. We chose the less formal outside seating area and ordered the fish of the day - which was by far the best fish dish I have had in years. The service was personable and... More

We ate dinner on the parrilla side. We enjoyed this unique restaurant since it's not the typical fare in Bar Harbor. Some dishes were more successful than others, but everything was quite tasty. This place is a welcome change from the typical tourist restaurants.

Still thinking about the roasted tomato soup I had, it was amazing. Service was great and everything we ordered was delicious. It is a small restaurant so make sure that you make a reservation and because it is so small be patient, you will still need to wait a bit for your table. - soup of the day - Farm... More

Once visited by the Obama family, this small eatery has an interesting selection of meals. Highly recommended is the paella, the flans, not so much. Coffee coated steak was an iffy combination, but I did like the popcorn served with the crabs cakes as "corn texture". Small, noisy, but attentive. The owner will visit your table. Make reservations.

Havana is a excellent restaurant that while pricey, is worth it. Nice, but sometimes forgetful wait staff; well made mixed drinks and a nice atmosphere. Appetizers and entrees are of great quality and prepared beautifully. A meal for two with a couple of cocktails or wine will run you over $100 but to me it was well worth the price.... More

From the moment we stepped in the restaurant, we were welcomed. Everybody was so friendly and helpful. The menu had so many delicious choices, so we were constantly taking bites and sharing plates. The owner walked around and checked on all his guests.

The food was unique and quite good, however, it was a bit overpriced in my opinion. We ordered the crab cakes, seafood paella and the tuna. Crab cakes were delicious and the paella and tuna were good. The paella was definitely a robust seafood flavor, if that's what you like. The atmosphere is what you're paying for here. The staff... American fine dining with a Latin flair. Havana has an elegant modern atmosphere, an extensive wine list, knowledgeable staff and a sophisticated menu. Seafood, vegetarian and meat dishes are flavored with intelligence and respect and change weekly, sometimes daily. Havana is located in downtown Bar Harbor, just a short stroll up Main Street.
