Took my BF here for birthday dinner. Nothing but good things to say. The service was really friendly, and the food and drinks were outstanding. The cocktails are all super fancy & have approximately 80 ingredients each...but they are so delicious. We ordered all food to share between the two of us & it worked out pretty well. Food highlights... More

People swear by this place, but IMO, you can get better food with a much shorter wait time (1.5 hours for us!). We had the sweet potato fries with the gorgonzola dip. I hate gorgonzola, so got the chipotle aioli which is actually very good. Also the walnut bread (skip the burrata, but the bread is very good). Then the... More

Brunch on a Monday Holiday (Presidents day in February of 2017). We agreed it was in memory of past Presidents like Lincoln, Washington, Hamilton and Obama. OK - back to the restaurant. Just OK, nothing special and I don't understand its big rating on "Eater SF". I won't be back and recommend that you skip Beretta in favor of many... More

We had dinner here and the whole thing wasn't bad, but pretty underwhelming. It's italian food served up tapas style and you know what that means: $$$! Nothing was incredibly amazing. I mean it was good italian food but nothing you can't find around town for a third of the price.

Really tasty Italian food. The menu changes often and the booze is strong and plentiful. Crisp service.

The food is good: I took some mushroom tartines and the spicy pepperoni pizza (good but not amazing). We were on the terrace which is much more quiet ! But a bit cold The staff is very nice and friendly !

This is a very nice place with goo variety of Italian food. Very lively place with good bar and cocktails. We ordered several plates for the 4 of us and shared them family style. This was a good way to try some different dishes. The Osso Bucco risotto and the gnocchi were fabulous.

This place is phenomenal! We came here for a work team dinner and were all very impressed with the quality of service, food and price. When planning a dinner for a large group, many SF restaurants can't or won't accommodate; those that do will ask you for an exorbitant per person deposit etc. Beretta had a very modest request--it was... This lively restaurant is the perfect spot to go if you want to sidle up to the bar, for cocktails and appetizers! It can be on the loud side, and you may have to wait for a while, but you can go to another bar down the street, and they will call your cell phone when your table is ready.... More

One of the early pioneers in San Francisco's popular Mission District neighborhood at Valencia Street and 23rd, Beretta has been a long-time industry favorite since opening in 2008. Dark, sexy and evocative, Beretta's restaurant and bar are where to enjoy inventive cocktails, thin crust pizzas, and contemporary Italian comfort food that is always fresh, organic and seasonal whenever possible, and sourced from local farmers. Adored by the San Francisco community and visitors to our city, we offer something for everyone, and carry many vegetarian and vegan options. Beretta is great for both intimate dining experiences and large group affairs, (our cozy downstairs room is perfect for groups of 6 or more), and we are open for dinner and late-night dining, 7 days a week, with brunch served on weekends.
