(see attached menu) never been here before. had my thanksgiving meal with my partner. its pricey for what they serve. the smoked turkey was good, brussel sprout salad tasted like cold sauerkraut, but the corn bread was decent. as with prior reviews, there is way too much sodium in their main course. even the gourd soup had a 'campbell's soup... Enjoyed a birthday celebration and management couldn't have been more gracious. We were by all accounts a raucous group, 8 of us and the way they handled us speaks volumes to their customer service. For dinner, I had sauteed fish, very fresh. We also shared several appetizers including deviled eggs, okra and amazing spicy mushrooms. Fun place to eat in... More

Ok guys, if you like salty food this is your place. From my point of view there is nothing special about this restaurant and for sure you can find better food for less price in other places. My advice.... DON'T GO... you're just gonna be thirsty at the end.. ... although, the service is really good.

Friends and I came here after a night of boozing. The staff were gracious and helpful, even though I can imagine we were quite drunk. We all had the fried chicken, which was fantastic. The mac and cheese was also very delicious. Ask to sit upstairs, as it's a better atmosphere there.

Great environment with wide open front of restaurant to enjoy the outdoor. Great comfort food selections and veer menu. Great happy hour options with both food and drink. Do the burger!

Went by the locals' recommendation and the food was quite tasty (at least at first). However I think we ordered too much "fried" food - okra, chicken liver, fried chicken - and I got a bit tired of eating fried food towards the end. Also the dishes were on the salty side for my taste. My favourite was the gumbo,... More

I was with friends visiting San Francisco and had to try Eureka's comfort food. I recommend the Creole Gumbo, which was great. It had just the right spices and was very tasty. There were several dishes I would like to have tried. The wine selection and atmosphere was great too. The service was excellent. Highly recommend a visit!

We had the best meal and warmest service of our US trip. Family of 5, shy Brits, from London. We loved the welcome from the chef, our waiter was so lovely with our autistic daughter (turned the music off, because he'd noticed it was bothering her)And the food!. So delicious. I had the chicken livers, and then the southern fried... More

This is a very good place to have a cocktail and some southern cooking. The menu is a bit limited, but there are also daily specials. Portions are good sized. You'll certainly get a good substantial meal if your order the fried chicken -- something that is generally tough to find in a sit down restaurant. Service is friendly and... More

Very dark restaurant but nicely dressed. Excellent, friendly, professional service. Meals are expensive and what I had was not to my liking. I had the spicy jambalaya. The rice was well cooked but the intensely smoky flavour swamped everything else and left me with an unpleasant flavour in my mouth for a few hours. This might not be the chef's... More

A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation.
