My 3rd visit to Slanted Door and once again the food and service were terrific! Will repeat when in SF again.

While the supposed fine dining food was hot when served, it was mean in proportion. It is Asian in style. The restaurant was full and probably survives as a result of the view of the harbour and bridge. It is dirty (floors) and needs a good clean and facelift. Beware the price - you are going to pay for the... More

Our last big meal of our San Francisco visit. Great service, great food, great view. Food for all, menus suits all tastes and diets. Wine list fantastic, delicious and innovative choices from appetizers to entrees, we were too full for their great deserts. Reservations recommended. Five stars aren't enough.

It has grown over the years from a small Vietnamese spot to this very hot spot in the Ferry Building overlooking the Bay Bridge ! Great service and food offerings. Book early!

I personally preferred the old location as it seemed a bit less 'touristy' but it's always nice to be here and the food arrives quickly at your table. Go for the shaking beef.

Delightful food in a lovely setting! We thoroughly enjoyed the sharing plates - short ribs, organic chicken, lettuce wraps, and brussel sprouts! Those sprouts will have me trying to recreate them forever! Plus the dessert - spun cotton candy - topped it all off! My only complaint is that it is CRAZY noisy. If you have anyone who has difficulty... More

Although we were relegated to dining at the bar, we indulged on short ribs and a surreal Ahi Tuna Tartare starter prepared at the bar to a culinarian's perfection. Great view of talented mixologists who chose stemware from the the barback's arsenal with impeccable eyes for spotless sanitation. Limited wine list to pair with the menu. Forget your preference for... More

After reading all the mixed reviews about pricey, overrated foods we had trepidations about going to this much-lauded spot but now we're glad we did. The location is quintessentially SF in the action-filled Ferry building on the bay. But it's more than the beautiful, modern interiors, the food delivers. It's not inexpensive but with an array of carefully chosen dishes--... More

Had dinner with family here last weekend. Didn't have a reservation, but got nice table on the bar side (quieter actually) of the restaurant. Food was delicious. Waiter was subpar - not attentive, haughty, presumed we knew about the quirks of the restaurant (such as not serving any soft drinks). Checks the "been there" box, but probably wouldn't go back.

Had a great meal at the Slanted Door - service was very good, the cocktails were imaginative and tasty and the meal was very good - I enjoyed having the meal served family style - very nice touch. Server was very good and the view was terrific.
