This was just up from our hotel, great traditional diner, good food, service and price. Breakfast are good and varied, good mix of locals and tourist.

Also good for breakfast no matter the time of day or night. It is small and can get busy very quickly. Good food, decent prices.

Headed to the Pinecrest after seeing it on my drive into the city. It is your proper American diner style place, lots of hustle and bustle, and great food. I'd recommend the hash browns for sure!

We tried this diner due to Trip Advisor reviews. It was OK but not great. Owners seemed uptight forcing people to sit at counter even when tables were available- some people left in a huff. Seems silly with empty booths. I got shrimp salad which was OK & DH got a hamburger which wasn't fresh meat but a frozen patty... More

Chanced upon this diner about a block from our hotel. Kids loved it so much we went back twice. Combo platter, bacon & avocado burger, corned beef hash with eggs and pastas were good. Crowded during lunch, so try and get in before noon if possible. Service was friendly and fast. Will definitely dine here again if in SF.

Was visiting from Sydney Aus and looking forward to my first diner experience - this place did not disappoint!! It was pouring outside so was lovely and cozy and instantly greeted with a hot cup of Joe which they refilled tirelessly. We had the pancakes with bacon eggs and hash brown - the pancake was amazing and bacon nice and... More

The service was great as we had a tremendous server. We had breakfast and it was good. The atmosphere was fine as it is a diner.

I visited the Pinecrest Diner for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during a recent business trip. The menu is extensive, as is usual for a diner. The food was plentiful and well-prepared, and the service was great. I sat at both the counter and a booth during my visits. This is a great place to go if you're not interested in... More

We had breakfast here twice during our visit. Very busy, which is always a good sign and very quick service. The food was of a really good standard and the portion sizes were pretty big. We fuelled up here and didn't need to eat again till the evening, best way to start the day and to ready oneself for a... More
