It is close to the office so we go a lot the burgers are extremely good, brussel sprout chips, the chicken dish is also tasty, always look at the specials too tend to lean towards those. can get crowded and loud during lunch. If you get a salad leave room for dessert they are tasty as well and many can... More

My friend and I had lunch here. We both had heard good things about the restaurant both online and from friends. We split the deviled egg sandwich and the shrimp roll neither of which I felt were exceptional. Frankly I'd rather just have deviled eggs and although my companion liked the shrimp roll I couldn't taste any shrimp just a... More

My boyfriend and I were headed to the Giants game on Thursday afternoon, and we decided to eat lunch at Marlowe instead of the park. That was an AWESOME idea. Where do I start with the awesomeness that is Marlowe? First, the wait staff and manager know their business, it was a full room at 11:30am and everyone was getting... More

We were told to come here for the burger but if you skip that part on the menu then you're not missing out. We ordered: brussel sprout chips, deviled eggs, pork chops, and of course the genius burger. We left loving everything we ordered except the burger. I mean it's good but not a reason to come here. The ambience... More

Oh.my.god, I can die happy now that I've eaten their bone marrow, it's butter like texture can wrap itself around my arteries for all I care. The Marlowe burger was amazing as was the Brussels sprouts chips (separated leaves deep fried), and their deviled eggs had the right combination of everything (I thought the pickled chili on it was the... At 3pm on a Sunday this place was hoppin', but we were sat at a table quickly (<3 mins). Brussels, burger, soup, and fries were all great. Service was too. Good ambiance and a nice bar area too!

It was Valentine's Day dinner. Even that we have reserved the table in advance we had to wait when we arrived. This place was packed . Tables are located so close goes h other that you can't reLy move your elbow freely. It's very uncomfortable seating and it's extremely loud. The dining room is very unattractive . It was pre set... What a gem of a restaurant. Touted as the place for San Francisco's best burger, Marlowe didi not disappoint. I enjoyed a half dozen oysters followed by a perfectly cooked cheeseburger. Service was friendly and efficient. The place seemed to have a positive "buzz" and energy about it. It was hopping. I will definitely return.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
