Well worth the price. Service was excellent, we had at least three staff servicing us at any point. I had the dry aged T-Bone, fingerling potatoes, and Brussel sprouts. Potatoes were okay, but the steak was the best I've had. Drink selection was top notch Highly recommend if in the area.

Great food but service lousy. Snobbish Somalier. And staff not friendly. Also a cold draft that made our guests done with jackets and scarfs. We told staff they ignored us. So great food but not good staff. They think they are royalty

Dined here for business and had the best steak I have ever had. Big statement I know but this was heavenly. Perfectly cooked, tender and the mushroom sauce subtle and amazing. This will not be the cheapest meal you have in the US but it will be the one you remember. We also had the corn soup which was also... More

I was fortunate enough to attend a work related dinner here. I had some green tea before dinner which was delicious. I tried the Hamachi Shot, the Edamame, the Filet Mignon, and two desserts. The whiskey selection was amazing. I tried the Elmer T. Lee based on the servers suggestions. It was excellent. Great service. If you want to know... More

Fine dining type of place. Get a lesson on different types of meat from the waiter, and then get ready to decide how much to spend, because prices vary widely. Is it funny that my favorite dish was their appetizer with raw fish and not their famous steak?

So So, Nice place from a design point of view. For my personal taste I didn't eat a great steak as was my expectations. The main room was too noisy for me. Service is great! A bit expensive considering the quality of the meet. In any case I will be back for a second chance.

Quite simply the best steak ever. We had three 3 oz Wagyu steaks: 2 from Japan (Miyagi and Gifu) and the US Imperial Wagyu between two of us with confit potatoes and wild mushrooms. It is cooked to perfection. But with a starter as well (I think the best choice for sharing is the Edamame, although we both had HonnHamachi... More

We had several delicious starters and a T-bone steak. The food was really fantastic, but the price was really really high. You must try it once, but I wouldn't return regularly.

We went there with a party of four. From 1 of the 5 regular steaks David the waiter told us only at the order that they are sold out:-( not a good start, the sommelier only recommended wines with highest price tags and ended up serving a $ 155 red wine at 12 degrees Celsius, too cold for established European... We booked a last minute New Year's Eve prix fixe dinner reservation, and you had to wonder why it was still open because for almost a thousand dollars, we had these tiny servings of food, which were not memorable - only the wine was. We got to taste a tiny morsel of Wagyu steak - it tasted like butter -... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
