We tried the vietnamese menu and approved it! The lemon grass chicken Pho ($8.95) was delicious and big. The vietnamese sandwich ginger chicken ($6) was also very flavorful. Service very friendly.

This place is a favorite. If you like Pho or Vietnamese sandwiches this is your place. The staff are so sweet and attentive. Its comfort food on a cold SF day. I love this place!

Great Vietnamese food. I saw them cooking in the back, smelled devine! We walked in and got a huge smile! Great service, cozy cafe for a quick bite, sip of coffee after a tiring day of walking. Great for a lunch under 10.00. Check them out while in Castro in San Francisco!

A popular small eatery with main focus on Asian food. I visited the place for coffee and treat. I had the weakest coffee, and the driest articifal tasting muffin I had had for years. Very disapointing. Best to be avoided.

You wouldn't know by the name of the place, but they make fantastic Vietnamese food. The bun mi sandwiches are great as well as the pho. A nice lunch spot. They also do American style breakfasts.

The staff were very, very friendly. And so attentive! They were accommodating with every little request and served us with a smile. The selection of food was also incredible, made me wish I could have had more than a simply breakfast. They have great lunch/dinner food as well, and an appetizing selection of sweets.

Recommended by a friend while I was visiting San Francisco. Breakfast is very reasonably priced. Omelette with ham and cheese, fresh fruit, coffee and orange juice for under $10. Would eat here again.

On visiting the Castro area in San Francisco I came across the Castro Tarts Cafe. I stopped off for a coffee and a butter croissant. The cafe itself had an old feel, but was clean and served great coffee and croissants. It is also well known for its Pho's and other Vietnamese meals. The owners, being themselves Vietnamese, were friendly... More

Neighbourhood Profile
The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theatres and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
