Okay so your in San Francisco's Mission District and you can definitely tell this area is undergoing a change. Your looking for great coffee with just a change of pace. Look no further than 4 Barrel Coffee. Perfectly crafted espresso served in a modern ceramic cup. If your not marveled by the decor then perhaps the vinyl record player, playing... More

We visited this coffee shop a couple of times during our stay in San Francisco, and like many of the superb coffee roasters in SF you're guaranteed to get a truly excellent cup of coffee. However, unlike some of the other places, we found the staff here to be really friendly, as opposed to the typical hipster aloofness. It's worth... More

The coffee was lukewarm, and the service was even colder than that. There is no wi-fi. If the goal is to make sure customers don’t make a second visit, then… Mission Accomplished! There are much better options available.

This is about the pastries. I think I just ate the world's best donut...the lemon thyme donut is light, fluffy, and the glaze is scrumptious! I also tried the ham and cheese bun which is like an everything seasoned croissant twisted into a bun shape. This was also good but leaves crumbs all over your clothes so be careful!

Topical hipster ( do these two words go together? ...) place! High end coffee machine, cool staff, clean cut cooking, and, extremely expensive price. Basic but t really decent pastry. What I like this place most, is they had never let me wait for too long no matter how busy they looked. This in my book, is the real quality... More

Great space. Check. Good coffee. Check. Nice vibe. Check. 21st Century experience. ZERO I get it. You want to be hipster. You want people to talk to each other. But this is 2017. People, gasp, also want to maybe get on the internet. You provide no WiFi. That's a deal breaker for me just on principle. Shame really.

The space is industrial and nice, surprisingly quiet for the decor, but ... either the barista shorted the shots or added too much water. The coffee was a waste. A few sips and I left. In all fairness, they did have a "slow bar" for pour overs and such which I probably should have tried. No Wi-fi, BYO hotspot.

On the Too Gear cool wall this would be in the locked ice cold sub zero safe. Great coffee and you can watch the roasting process. In a cool part of San Francisco and worth a visit if you are even close.
