Big mug of coffee and vegan chocolate cake in modern industrial loft sitting by a sunny window. What could be better?

Found this place walking one morning and it's a nice looking set up. The coffee was good and the staff were friendly. Some of the clientele clearly think of themselves as special and the conversations seemed to be business like and many giving it the 'big I am' rather too loudly. Can't blame the cafe for that but it seems... More

Coffee, croissants, atmosphere all great. We walked from Union Square and it was definitely worth the trip.

No wifi? No tea? The macchiato that we ordered was thimble size. It was hot upstairs, packed throughout the joint, but especially downstairs. Can't see the draw. I will say, on the positive side, that the cherry choc scone was delicious! (Although, it wasn't cheap!) Maybe this is culture shock to S.F. coffee culture, but I wouldn't recommend this place.

Beautiful venue in an unlikely part of town - very cool 2 storey coffee shop. Everything immaculate and communal seating enjoyable. Lovely sight for sore eyes early on a saturday morning . . .great coffee and muffin! Thanks for the eye opener . . .

Went to find a place to meet my 31 year old son in the City. Location was great, service was friendly, the environment was fun and above all the coffee and pastries were top notch. I had my normal late which was lovingly made. Highly recommend it.

There aren't many places in San Francisco to get good coffee. But both here and their sister cafe in the mission district is some of the best coffee you'll get. The depth of flavour that is poured from a variety of different beans from both south america and africa which are roasted in house is of a similar standard that... More

Excellent coffee as they roast their own and seem to source many of the other coffee shops in the area. Friendly staff who are happy to talk about coffee and know their stuff. Very trendy surroundings with lots of seating upstairs. Please to park bicycles out the front, no dogs allowed.

Thank Jbazely

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
