We decided to stop at the Tadich Grill for a drink since a sudden shower dropped on us while we explored this San Francisco area. We knew of the history and thought it would be a great experience. Wrong! If you are only having a...More

We had the lunch specials (and just beat the crowd). Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was melt on your mouth fabulous. Meat Ravioli was wonderful - the meat sauce was so tasty - not your typical tomato taste. Would definitely return!!

I’ve been going to the Tadich Grill for 55 years and have never been disappointed. On a recent trip to San Francisco we arrive early (6ish) and were seated immediately. I first tasted Sandabs here on my first visit in the early 60s and they...More

The atmosphere is old San Francisco with a great long bar and tables tucked in every corner. Service is provided by professional waiters in white jackets, who are quick to get you a cocktail, make dish suggestions and answer any questions. We had the crab...More

It is very cool to go here but I recommend having a drink at the bar and checking it off your list. The service is good and they are attentive and the food is good but you are paying for the reputation.

A friend suggested I try this place that has been around for a century and a half and I was so glad I did. In the hustle bustle 21st century, it’s so fun to relax in a space that feels warm and calm and like...More

The Tadich Grill takes you back decades! The waiters are very on top in crisp white apron coats. The decor is very Art Deco. My husband & I ate at the diner counter, which was very cool! Our food was excellent ~ calamari salad, sole...More

Given its one of the oldest restaurants (169 years old) in America you will soon understand why. The fish is very fresh and the service is excellent. I would highly recommend the swordfish.

Back for a 3 day seminar (moved to Nashville in ‘86), my daughter said we have to go to the Tadich. Warm welcome, classic charming old building with tables and chairs in spaces too small. Well trained efficient staff and service was very good. The...More

We are fortunate to travel to San Francisco quite regularly and The Tadich is our local go to place. It is hard to get into but well worth the effort. The dining experience is not like any other we have had. Men in white coats,...More

Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but
can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s
version of Wall Street. The rush of business people
make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of
life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the
narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of
historic and contemporary architecture, including the
iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours,

Hi. I loved this restaurant, but I don't think they can put that many tables together to seat 17 people. I would recommend going elsewhere for the large group and children, and go to Tadich Grill with just another couple... More

I basically agree with all the others below. Place is more a business / formal dinner set-up and the architecture of the restaurant may not allow for such a large group. I would give them a call to confirm. In regards to... More
