We receeived a warm and friendly welcome at the Brindiisi. We both opted for pasta and were not disappointed. Normally we can't finish a full plate but had no problem with the tasty food here!! With a limoncello mojito to start and a complimentary limoncello to finish we enjoyed our last night in San Francisco!!

It wasn't too busy at our early dinner, and we had excellent food and am efficient waiter who never left us waiting or wanting. The table had various pasta dishes and one had the salmon. All were quite tasty and the oyster appetizers were small, but very well prepared. The best part was our appetizer of a bruschetta sort that... More

We live in Denver and good ethnic food is not that easy to find. This is a charming small authentically good Italian restaurant. The carbonara and spaghetti with meatballs did not disappoint. My husband ordered the cioppino which was chock full of seafood. The Italian bread has some fantastic pesto served with it. Our waiter was prompt and courteous. Belden... More

This is a favorite where I meet friends in the business district of San Francisco. The food is always very fresh and good and the people that run the place are really nice. If you're into desserts, you'll definitely want to order one here.

Arrived late in San Francisco on a Friday evening and was looking for a quick bite after long flight. Hotel recommended a place within easy walking distance. A stroke of luck, felt like I was I Milan. Sat near open kitchen, chef nearby and friendly. Authentic Italian cuisine, reasonably priced and cozy atmosphere. Will certainly be back. Incidentally, Belden Place... More

This is a true Italian restaurant where you're expected to keep the table all night. Enjoying each other's company over food & wine is recommended. The food is AMAZING. I had the wild mushroom ravioli - exquisite. Very good wine list too. Don't forget a glass of Limoncello to finish the night. We sat outside and we're warm & cozy... More

We went here after a long day. We sat outside along the walk - the principal dining as inside appears to be small. The tap was broken but he waiter retrieved beers from a sister restaurant seeing out disappointment (my partner can't drink wine). When asked if the soup had scallops, the waiter said no, shrimp. But, wait, we can... More

Great Italian place with excellent outside seating off the street but in a little alleyway. Great dishes for very reasonable price considering it's in the middle of the financial district. The outside seating has a cover just in case it rains or sprinkles. It's right next to Occidental cigar bar which is great for after dinner drinks and cigars. Definitely... More

There was eight of us and we had a table outside in the alley. It was a closed off area in an alley way where the restaurants in that area have tables. It gave a great atmosphere of being somewhere other than a big city (fun). Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was great. We had one mishap with... More

This restaurant is in an alley south of Kearny and Bush street. There are several restaurants to choose from. We had the veal scallopini with risotto and spinach and it was great. Paired it with a nice Sangiovese. Great choice in the alley.

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
