Good foods, coming for lunch with my friend. Ordered 'ayam bumbu rujak'; 'gulai kambing'; and two cendol (ice drink). My recommendation is to try 'ayam bumbu rujak' (rich in spices) and ice cendol (if you like a sweet drink), really recommended & the 'gulai kambing'...More

We found this Indonesian restaurant on TripAdvisor as it was close to our hostel. We had the rijsttafel that we wholeheartedly recommend: soup, spring rolls (starter), 6 different dishes (main) and several choices for dessert. Although the portions were impressive, we didn’t even take the...More

Our go-to place for genuine Indonesian food and rice tafel feasts. Food is very well prepared and super tasty. It's an adventure and really delicious. Nice space.

Dropped by for a dinner while on a business trip. Ordered the coconut rice with some side dishes and enjoyed the meal. A welcome change from the western cuisine and will certainly return when I am next in town.

Really enjoyed this. Best roti since street eating in Singapore. Rice plates really good value and plenty to eat. Tasty varied menu and good for vegetarians. Definitely going back.

We don't have access to Indonesian food at home and always seek it out. We really enjoyed our meal here. It compares to anywhere we've been including Amsterdam And we found it it to be an incredibly good value in the city. Go hungry!

Only Indonesian restaurant in the Bay area.... Having grown up with many options on rijsttafel, Borobudur offers a good one. The soto ayam hits it on the nose, unfortunately it is near impossible for many restaurants to replicate the traditional lumpia, but this one is...More

Usually I love Indonesian cuisine. For me nothing beats a good Rijstafel and hence there was no question what am I going to order in this restaurant. What a great disappointment. Either the dishes were greatly adapted for American palate or the cook has no...More

Nice place, always seems to be busy. I heard there's not a lot of great Asian food in the city. But this place was alright! I wouldn't compare it to the Indonesian food back home, but most of the tastes were there. Try the nasi...More

Borobudur looks authentic, service is okay but the food lacks flavour. The veggie rice plate was a good recommendation from another TripAdvisor reviewer - two small Javanese fried bean cakes, a wedge of tofu in a mild sauce, a small mild vegetable curry and a...More

Come experience home style Indonesian cooking featuring a variety of flavors from across the islands. Indonesia is located at the crossroads of the ancient world, astride the great trade routes between the Middle East and Asia. Wave after wave of traders, adventurers, pirates, and immigrants have been drawn by the riches of these Spice Islands. All brought their native cuisine with them.

When you come to Borobudur Restaurant, you can find various authentic Indonesian cuisine including tropical drinks from many different regions. Known as San Francisco’s most popular Indonesian restaurant. Asian Week had it right when they said we serve the best Indonesian food in the Bay Area!
