I first saw this crepe place on trip advisor when researching where we would want to eat while in Japantown. I like crepes, but not a person that would seek out a crepe shop on most occasions. However, on vacation, I wanted to try this after reading the reviews. I failed to notice the cash only in reviews and we... More

They specialize in dessert crepes and my favorite combination is espresso gelato with bananas and nutella! There's a few benches to sit on while you're devouring your crepes! I think they only accept cash so FYI!

There are many random eating places in the Kinokuniya building in Japantown. Nothing especially unusual about Sophie's, except it's not place where to have a regular meal. It's more of a joint either for desserts (sweet crêpes) or snacks (the savoury ones). The tuna melt is pretty good, the ham&cheese disappointing. The crêpe skin is nicely crispy; it's a bit... More

They make these thin crepes and form them into a cone into which you can request sandwich items (ham & cheese, tomatoes, etc) or gelato (with berries, bananas, choc syrup, whipped cream, etc). The crepe/cones are large and the gelato is delicious! You will not be disappointed. Plus, it is in Japantown where there are lots of good Japanese restaurants,... More

Was a great experience And a suitable price I've experimented with crape strawberries, as well as bananas and it was awesome

Came by on a whim and the place was packed, which I took as a good sign. It was a cash only kinda place, and had a good variety of crepes to choose from. Would go back for sure.

Sohpie's Crepes is one reason I envy the San Franciscans. Why can't they get it right in the South Bay?! Guess you can't have it all. If you are a crepe lovers like me, just one address in the Japanese Town of San Francisco, California go to Japan Center, on the second floor and look for Sophie Crepe. A large... More

This is a great place to stop for dessert crepes. Just watching everyone, you will become tempted. There are also savory crepes and they are all served similar to an ice cream cone. Cash only. Limited seating. Truly delicious.

After a long day shopping, full of delicious noodles or other Japanese cuisine nearby, top off your J-Town experience at Sophie's Crepes. I was surprised to find it open on a weekday after Kinokuniya, Maido and other retailers were closed. Catering to the after dinner crowd too, there was time to catch a fabulous dessert to top of the night.... More

These crepes are heavenly. They are loaded with ice cream, whipped cream and fresh fruit. (We had the mixed fruit). We tried the "other" crepe place in this mall. Which was good too, BUT the crepes from Sophie's stayed crisp and did not get soggy. I only wish we had time to go back there to try the savory breakfast... More
