We met friends here on a visit to San Francisco. There are some amazing features to this seafood restaurant. First, it takes reservations and accommodates large parties easily. The restaurant is large but is broken into smaller dining areas so it is cozy. It is on the water and has views of the bay. It also has fresh seafood from... More

One of the best seafood restaurants in the bay area. The area is loaded with low grade touristic traps. This place is definitely not one of them. The food is fresh, tasty. The service is excelent

We have been coming to San Francisco for 35+ years. Our favorite restaurant (until now) was Scoma's. We often go there for dinner our first night in town. Our favorite entrée is the shellfish sauté. When we dined there recently, the entrée had been completely changed. No buttery penne pasta as a side dish - now it's served with soggy... More

Great food, even if you are not a seafood fan. Most importantly, I have always experienced fantastic service. I love the people and the atmosphere, the interior is like stepping back into the 1960's! Love it. I'll be back!

excellent location on wharf and very popular restaurant. Wait was short and the atmosphere and service was terrific.Good view of the water, harbor, etc. The food was reasonably priced and was excellent. Other customers were sociable and helpful with food recommendations. A great spot for lunch or dinner. Will go back again.

Stick to the regular dishes. We ordered the daily specials which were over-cooked and dry (pan fried halibut and grilled prawns). Other than that, service was attentive, nice wine. You'll need to book ahead to bag one of the few tables with a bay view.

We've been going regularly to Scoma's for years. We consider it the best place on the wharf. We used to have to wait - the only restaurant worth waiting for 45-60 mins. But they started taking reservations a few months ago so it's much easier to get in. Loads of fresh fish and seafood on the menu, great wine list... More

The food was amazing! My husband ate everything, which is unusual. I had the Scoma's Shellfish Sauté Sec, and he had the 9 oz Wagyu Bistro Filet. Sorry, I didn't get pics because we were starving.

Worth the wait! Excellent service the freshest seafood and a cool throw back type atmosphere. The entire family loves the Lazy Man’s” Cioppino. - a little of everything in a wonderful tomato based broth that is delicious beyond words. Great Cocktails there too. Our waiter has worked there for over 40 years. If your in SF make it count by... More
