We went to The Grind Cafe at Haight Street for brunch on a working day . A clean counter sale cafe with some good food options both for vegetarians and non vegetarians with a small patio in front. We chose Grind Combo which consists of...More

Doing a little "summer of love" mooching around the Haight/Ashbury area of SF requires a good breakfast and we found a top place at The Grind. Large selection of omelettes, bagels, pancakes and scramblers - scrambled eggs with some sort of filling mixed in. Portions...More

Casual eatery and cafe serving food all day. Lots of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers. Came in for breakfast, eggs Benedict. Simple perpetration, yolk was runny and the hollandaise sauce was good. The hash-browns were fantastic, super crispy golden outside, not burnt at all....More

The Grind is located in the now fully gentrified Haight in San Francisco. The location is surrounded by shops, eateries and the like. Street parking could be challenging-we got lucky. Better yet use public transportation. The Grind features a large menu including brunch and lunch...More

Arrived early to our nearby hotel and this is what was recommended. The pancakes had a stretchy texture, as if they were microwaved. They came with approx a tablespoon of syrup. Eggs tasted instant and the hash browns were total grease. Not impressed at all

We stopped in on a weekday morning for some breakfast and coffee. The food was delicious and the coffee was better than a few nearby spots I've tried. The girl working behind the counter gave us some recommendations and we were not disappointed.

This place is always full which I guess speaks volumes. The breakfast choice is substantial and the coffee and service is friendly and efficient.

So I when there with my friend for coffee and breakfast, asked a question very kindly to the woman who makes coffee ( pink hair) she was the rudest person I've met!! Would not recommande that place. Food was not tasty at all.

The service was fast and friendly. The pancakes we very good ( fluffy and moist). They took special orders ( egg whites) and the coffee was fresh. Coffee refills were .50.

The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and
Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of
the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage
clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops.
While the Summer of Love ended decades ago,
Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of
hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through
its streets can still feel like stepping back in time.

I saw street parking only. The place had tables big enough for your size group (maybe having to combine 1 large amd 1 small table). It is very casual - order at then counter & they bring to table, so it's fine for kids. I... More
