Sought this place out after reading reviews. Missed it first time we passed - not even as big as a hole in the wall! Glad we eventually found it!! Three of us managed to get seated together - get there early - and on reading reviews, each went for a hash brown sandwich - one bacon, one sausage, one vegetarian... More

I love little dive cafes and this place was no exception. It's tiny - holds maybe 15 people and is cash only. But being able to watch everything cook and trying to figure out how they are able to move with a foot of space between the counter and the grill was incredibly entertaining. They move fast too so don't... More

We had breakfast here and it was ok. The place is small and holds about 20 people and serves only breakfast and lunch. The price was extremely reasonable. The service was attentive. I had the turkey omelette and my husband had the corn beef hash plate. My omelette was delicious and plentiful. The corn beef hash was served over the... More

My 13 year old daughter picked this breakfast spot, and I was quick to agree after reading Yelp reviews (sorry TA) and seeing how close it was located to Golden Gate Park. Great area for walking and shopping, but I digress. Only stool seating at bar, in front of grill is best view, with about 15 or so seats. Worth... More

With the advent of high quality, foo-foo dining, it is hard to just find a decent counter anymore and enjoy some hot breakfast with coffee. Small place, seats about 20 at the maximum, but has decent food at an affordable price. There's a parking lot right around the corner, so its easy to get to.

We found this place on Thrilist webpage under the best brunch in San Francisco by neighborhood list. I like the fact that it is hole in the wall and run by a family but..... They have zero welcoming personality ( they do not smile at all- it almost feels like we are burden there ). Food is AVERAGE! Nothing special... More

In our trip to San Francisco, we had breakfast there twice. Their crispy homemade hashbrowns are excellent! Service was quick, and coffee was good and kept coming.

Art's is a tiny, greasy spoon, hole in the wall. Only 15 counter seats. He makes the best hash brown's ever - thin and crispy, like a taco shell - filled with perfectly caramelized onions, tomato's and peppers.

The counter breakfast does not get better, or cheaper, than this in SF or anywhere else for that matter. We got to watch our patty melt being made on the well worn sizzling hot grill (we shared the patty melt because we had just eaten at another place but just had to have Art's Cafe). We hung with the locals... More

Where else can you get a breakfast for 5 dollars and taste this amazing? This place is a must if you are the in the neighborhood. Service is ok but food is really good. It's always worth the wait.
