This is the worst tapas that I have ever had, anywhere, in my entire life. The flavoring made everything taste "off" and nothing remotely like real tapas. Different is okay, but the taste was universally terrible. In addition to eating tapas all over the US, I am also in Spain a few times a year. Avoid this place if you... More

We enjoyed the tapas with a glass of wine from the Happy Hour selections, The tapas we ate were the Halibut Ceviche which was the excellent highlight of the three, the Brussels Spouts which were OK, and the Empanadas made of ground beef with and apple cider glaze and shaved manchego, also excellent. The three items made up an adequate... More

Had a very spontaneous visit and was pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty and there was a decent range of vegetarian options as well as meat. The staff were very good and the wait for food didn't take too long. Would 100% visit again

We saw Bocadillos walking to Cotogna. We stopped and looked at the menu. We took a seat outside since the restaurant is small and all tables were full. Ordered the empanadas, prawns, chicken, corn fritters and a few more items. The corn fritters and empanadas were by far the best. I liked the prawns but they needed a little more seasoning. The... We called ahead of time and let them know we were organizing a birthday trip. We were told they would hold a table for us. Called the day before to confirm and also to check children's options. Was told they had our name down. On the day of the event - arrived to find NO TABLE, were told by wait... More

Not exactly in a trendy neighborhood. But I loved the tapas, wine and vibe in Bocadillos. I would definitely go back for a second round.

Interesting menu, some items very good- olives, some okay - watermelon salad, some terrible - tortilla e? (scrambled eggs ). Limited drink menu, lots of wine but no sangria. I'm happy we went and had a nice evening. But probably my least memorable meal we ate in SF.

This is a lovely restaurant that has been around for years and is the downscale cafe for Piperade. I like to go there weekly, either by myself (seat at the bar) or with colleagues. The little gem salad is delicious butter lettuce, chicken and hazelnuts...I usually ask for an upcharge to add bacon pieces and avocado. You can and should... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
