We went after finding on a list provided by a local hotel. We would probably have walked past otherwise. Very hospitable and gave free tea and soup :-) before your meal. Appetisers; be selective, some were good, some not so however mains we really lovely and one main would easily feed two people🙂 We'd walked China town but they all... More

Ordered take out after a long travel and work day. Service was very fast and friendly. Orange chicken was hot and mildly spicy just as I ordered it. Pan fried dumplings were disappointing though as they were unexpectedly spicy and the dipping sauce wasn't what I expected based on past experiences with other restaurants (it was some sort of orange... This would be fine for locals who have the time to figure out the good vs. not-good dishes. We had soup, apptetizers, and 2 entrees and only 1 entree of all that (the moo shoo) was any good.

I have eaten here 3 times in the last week. The food is great and well priced. Complimentary soup with our sit down meal.

Small, quite hidden in the Polk area, but an honest menu and price. Many clients of the hotels nearby order here their dinner, also some airlines crew members that stays at Holiday Inn. We ate soup (good), fried noodles (the best one). An eazy place for dinner

One of the best Chinese meals we have ever had ! Friendly efficient service and they also add in a couple of welcoming extras like a pot of tea to warm you when you arrive , and bowls of freshly made vegetable soup while you wait for your meal Highly recommend it -they also had lots of vegetarian options

Found this little unpretentious restaurant at rear of Holiday Inn after long day sightseeing needed some straightforward food. Easy going service really tasty beef dishes with TENDER meat. Doesn't look much from outside but more importantly local Chinese people eating there always a good sign.

Located right behind Holiday Inn Golden Gateway. It looks like a traditional Chinese Restaurant. The food is really good and authentic. Also, the owner is super nice. I would recommend this restaurant. I also recommend their Pecking Duck! So Yum!

We decided to take a shot and try bamboo while we were in SF. It took us about 20 minutes to walk from our hotel in union square. It was worth it. Food was good and reasonably priced. I would not order the spare ribs again. But try the pineapple fried rice.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
