Food overpriced and now very good. Service not great. Very poor choice. Can't understand how this place is still in business?

MaSo is in the lobby of the Park Central Hotel in San Francisco near Union Square. That was the best breakfast buffet that I have had in a very long time. They had a surprisingly wide selection of international foods. We sampled a lot of the choices and it was all very good. We didn't need lunch for hours afterwards.... More

Want to know what bland is? Go to Maso. Pretentious until you step in and it looks flat, uninspired. The Tuna Tartar tastes like fish leftovers mixed together. The absolute definition of bland though is the "Happy Boy Greens". I have no idea how they got a rich salad to have no taste at all. This is the first place... More

I had breakfast in MaSo the day of my departure. The only option is the buffet. Tthere was an excellent selection. The food was good but not extraordinary.

MaSo is located at Park Central near Moscone. It's a great restaurant for a business meeting. They offer a buffet only but gladly bring you an omelet from the kitchen. The food they offer is varied and very fresh.

The worst looking and tasting fish tacos on the planet. Arrived late and just needed a lite bite. Yuck. Guy next to me had some burned up looking salmon. Can't believe they would even plate this food. Stay away.

We had drinks in the bar on a Friday night and the service was good, drinks fine . Then we had brunch here on the following Sunday morning and found the food disappointing. First, with the cost of $30. per person, I expect at the least have hot food. Everything was cold from the eggs benedict to the oatmeal. Even... More

The price although feels a bit on the pricey side, if you want amazing unlimited food like beautiful bacon, eggs, muffins, fruits galore and yoghurt and more, its a seriously great place to eat. If you don't want to eat much, then I'd forgo it due to cost.

I love this place for brunch, they have all farm fresh ingredients, a great selection of varied food. Not just your same old brunch fare, there is something delicious for everyone. Not super pricey either.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
