The place doesn't look appealing, tables lined up under bright white light and an ugly yellow tiled floor. For those familiar with traditional Pho restaurants you should get excited now. And yes, the bowls come in the typical sizes, the broth is delicious and you can only pay with cash. Awesome!

I am a pho lover, and I try to eat pho wherever I travel - by far, this one was the very best pho!!!!! The restaurant is very clean, the owner is very attentive and friendly, the portion is very big. We went there twice during our visit, and the owner actually remembered us and asked if we want to... More

So. Flipping. Yummy. Bun Boe Hue was just the bomb, really tasty and filling. Portions are generous (even my hollow-legged teenage son couldn't quite finish his), and the old guy who seats you and takes your order is very funny and charming. Bring cash -- they don't take credit cards.

Super prompt service by comical older man that runs the place. My grandparents used to have a Vietnamese restaurant but closed when my grandfather passed. It isn't the same, but this place does the trick.

We came here for our first meal after landing in San Francisco and we are so happy we did! We each got the pho tai (rare sliced beef). The beef was super thinly sliced which is exactly how we like it because the meat is so tender that way. All of the accompaniments (basil, mint, cilantro, etc) were so fresh and... More

We enjoyed our lunch at this local spot. Not the best neighborhood, but once you're inside, it's clean and friendly. The portions were generous and the pho was some of the best we've ever had!

Pho lovers in the San Francisco area look no further; this is the place to go. The establishment itself is clean, although it may not be a lot to look at, but once you get passed that and you remember what you are there for (that being Pho of course) you are in for a treat. Service is just average... More

I love this place, its a no fuss place in a bad part of town and is quite rough round the edges but the pho they serve is fantastic. Its the best pho i've had in San Fran with a great tasting broth, perfect noodles and some really great meat. The condiments served are all great too and include home... More

Great portion size and reasonable prices. Quick service too. We were looking for pho to nurse our bodies and we were pleased. I'd go back again too.
