Been her twice and enjoyed both times tremendously. The chef is thoughtful and innovative with local in season ingredients. Staff is wonderful on recommending wines to go with the dishes. Would recommend coming with friends so you can try more as the various courses are so interesting, I always want to try more than I can reasonably eat. Highly recommend... More

I had been excited to visit SPQR as I've lived in the neighborhood for a few years and was just waiting for a special occasion. We visited for my birthday and while I wanted to love it, I walked away pretty neutral. The restaurant is cozy and has a nice vibe on Fillmore St. in Pac Heights. Tables are tightly... More

Italian fare with a sfo flair. Overall very good food starting with the homemade biscuits. The liver appetizer was excellent, the rice crisp with cheese and ham one less interesting. The pastas are very different, if you like a sweeter taste the duck and chestnut lasagna is for you Otherwise the mustard linguini and the pork meatball ricotta dishes are... More

We were recommended SPQR after a chef from Saint Louis said it was a must. We were seated right away but tucked at a table right by where the waiters submit their orders. I heard every conversation about every table. I didn't let let bother me since I was very excited to try the food. We ordered the Brassicas and... More

What a disappointment! We were looking forward to trying SPQR after hearing from friends and seeing positive reviews. I’m afraid that the chef and kitchen staff are resting on their laurels – or were having an extremely bad night in back-of-the-house operations and cooking while we were there. First of all, tables are crammed up against tables, to the point... More

Just a fantastic place! A superb wine collection, and super attentive staff. I had the duck "lasagna" and my fiance had the bacon wrapped rabbit.

Even though the name of the restaurant can mislead you in thinking it's not an authentic Italian restaurant, I'm telling you it is! It's totally worth going, the food is amazing, the environment is very cozy and the service was great.

Would definitely recommend this restaurant but would caution this place is expensive! The place is small and atmospheric - only downside is that the tables are very close together although luckily we didn't have anyone next to us. We ordered the 5 course pasta tasting menu which was phenomenal and would be my no.1 recommendation to any pasta lovers. Every... More

We had a fantastic tasting menu... Great duck lasagna and impeccable wine. The space was tiny, so keep that in mind
