This old fashioned BBQ restaurant and gas station is nice. They have always a cold beer & drinks for you. The smoked brisket, ribs and other options are delicious. Be prepared to eat with your bare hands, worth it!! They have many sides to enjoy the meat. You need to order and pick your own food. The only thing I... More

We always stop here on the way to BBNP. Never disappointed. Just wish they'd expand their sides! Best BBQ on the freeway!

I have had rudys a number of times in my visits to Del Rio and have never been disappointed. In fact the brisket that I had this evening was the best I've ever had. Ordering ala carte takes a bit getting used to but once you are seated, the laid back atmosphere is wonderful. Keep up the great work!

Not living in Texas and being a brisket lover, this was the one place everyone said to go to. And it did not disappoint at all. The brisket you can get it lean or wet, which is as it should be with all the God given fat and goodness. I was in heaven for a while when eating at Rudy's... More

We'd never been to a Rudy's before and didn't realize it is a chain. We explained our newness to the serving girl and she very patiently explained how their system works. She immediately offered us a sample tray of meats to taste. We made our choices and enjoyed an extremely good meal. The place was packed. Lots of families. From... More

This place reminded me (I've been out of TX for a while) how good the BBQ is here in Texas. No frills good food. Friendly staff (I applaud their hiring practices...they and the locals will know what I mean) that are attentive and quick. Good value for the money. Since it isn't on the main drag, you have to know... More

I've been to many barbeque restaurants across Texas. There aren't many choices to pick from in Del Rio, but out of the choices you do have if you should live or travel in Del Rio, Rudy's is your best bet for great barbeque and great service. A friendly country atmosphere surrounds the place and the restaurant is quite spacious which... More

Coming to Texas I expected bbq to be something special. The food was good, staff extremely friendly and fast and the atmosphere was impressive. I was disappointed that there was nothing special about the food. I guess I've been spoiled by my hubbies talent at cooking outstanding bbq.
