Cannot recommend this place enough! Planned a very last-minute weekend getaway with my husband to Harpers Ferry, and the first place I came to look for restaurants was TripAdvisor. I was immediately excited when I saw the Bisou Bistro and put it at the top of our list. My husband has traveled to New Orleans and is very familiar with... More

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here last night and are still talking about it. Reasonably priced very good quality food, warm and welcoming ambiance. With only 6 tables, one feels like they're eating at a friends. We had the rib eye steak and the scallops. Both are healthy portions and come with perfectly cooked organic greens. Starters looked delicious as... More

A cozy little bistro, along the lines of those found in quaint European towns, where the owner/chef/family host you like family! We were welcomed with a warm greeting, and due to a mixup, our reservation was delayed. The chef apologized and comped us some wine for our wait, which was minimal. The wait staff was attentive and helpful with menu... More

Given the reviews we were looking forward to a wonderful dinner. We concluded after eating at The Anvil, Bistro 1840, and now Bisou Bistro that Harpers Ferry is a food desert of sort. We had Caesar Salad that was OK; sockeye salmon that had no flavor; lamb chops that were OK; and finished with Chocolate cake that turned out to... More

We visited the Bisou Bistro for dinner on a Thursday evening. The restaurant is housed in an 18th Century stone home in Bolivar/Harpers Ferry. Comfortable atmosphere - there was a fire going in the wood stove. It wasn't crowded but there was a steady flow of diners that evening. Chef Kevin came out to the dining room to visit with... More

On a day trip to Harpers Ferry we were looking for a "local, one of a kind" place to have dinner. Everything about this place was perfect; we walked in and were greeted immediately by Chef Kev. Sat fireside and had a few minutes to take in the eclectic ambiance. Zack waited on us and asked all the right questions... More

My innkeeper recommended Bisou Bistro when I arrived in Harpers Ferry and I'm sorry I waited until my last night in town to dine there. The lobster bisque was some of the best I have ever eaten. If I were the responsible sort, I would have stopped there -- it was plenty! Alas, I also had the steak, which was... More

Had a really great time here. Came in for dinner with friends. Our appetizer of brochette was absolutely delish. I had a traditional cajon meal of chicken and andouille jambalaya. It was awesome. My only recommendation is that the staff needs to be educated on the wine selection with and the service to check out was slow.

We had dinner here on our first night in HF based on recommendation from b&b. The wine list is very reasonable and many good entrees including the gumbo. Interesting story about the many purposes of the building during the civil war.

We happened on this excellent restaurant by accident. My wife had rockfish and I had seafood gumbo. Both were excellent although I prefer more seafood in my gumbo. We got a goat cheese appetizer with 3 different cheeses that was excellent. Only Robles was not enough bread to match the cheeses.
