We went because we asked the locals for a recommendation of a restaurant. Great food! Huge portions! Caprese salad was beautifully arranged. Husband and I shared chicken parmigiana.

It was our first time to Moab and we were after dark getting into town. Pasta Jay's looked busy and we like pasta. Food was excellent, I ordered Ravioli but got Tortellone, but who cares what's the difference it was really good. It was a Friday night, the place was packed and the service was still excellent! We would definitely... More

Very friendly service, and excellent pizza. Build your own, with a nice thin crust. We had a very nice dinner, and cost was very reasonable.

On a cold November night, a bowl of soup and an hearty dish of lasagna is hard to beat, and you'll be pleased with the size of the portions. You can easily get a second meal. The place is friendly and the service is very good. Enjoy

We don't eat a lot of pasta, or anything with white flour, but were with friends who wanted to go here. Had a lovely salad and shared a small pizza so as to keep te white flour consumption to a minimum. It was delicious, and the service was awesome. Efficient, friendly-reasonably priced. loved it!

We stopped in (no reservations, had been out jeeping) with a party of 9 and the staff bent over backwards to squeeze us in. After some frenzied table-moving, we were all seated and attended to. Some of our group had been to Pasta J's before and were excited to return, and those who were there for the first time all... More

We've tried a total of 3 restaurants for dinner in Moab and Pasta Jay's the best yet. Decent selection of beer and wine, and a HUGE menu to please everyone in the group. Our server was amazing and attentive, and the place was hopping on a Saturday night. It was crazy busy and we were served quickly. Two of us... More

The portions were big, but the prices were a bit on the high side for the quality of food. I'm not a great cook, but I think I can make pasta a little better. Was a bit disappointed with the food.

Thank Joanne L

In June of 1980, when Jay Elowsky was 20 years old, he moved from Bay City, Michigan and started washing dishes for his Aunt Kathy and Uncle Sonny, who owned "Sonny's Pizza" in San Clemente, California. After a year stint at CU in Boulder, he decided the pasta business was where his heart was. So he returned to Sonny's to cook for six more years in order to learn the family recipes that had been passed down to him by his mother, "MaMa Genovese", whose grandmother was the cook for the first King of the United Countries of Italy, Victor Emanuel the Second. In September of 1988, his Mom (Jean) and Dad (Lowell) and Jay opened up Pasta Jay's in Boulder at 9th and Pearl. Now almost three decades later - besides the Boulder eatery there are Pasta Jay's locations in Lone Tree, Moab, and Hays, KS. The Moab location opened in 1992. Generations later we continue to use family recipes to create "food fit for a king"!
