We came here because Moab was packed and this was close to our hotel. As a former server in a French Service restaurant, I am a little critical when it comes to service. The place was NOT busy when we arrived. There's really no explanation as to why it took our server more than 5 minutes to acknowledge our seating.....and... More

Wendell was the best waiter we have ever had. He was so personable and told us of the rich history of the owner and the house the restaurant is located in. He split the plates since we a few of us wanted to share meals. The food was incredible and we will return next time for sure when we make... More

This is the 4th time I have had dinner here and it gets better each time. Great service, excellent plank salmon with salad and a loaf of sourdough plus the view of Moab and the valley is unparalleled.

We went to the Sunset Grill on Saturday evening around 6:00. Even though the town was busy with Spring Breakers, there was no wait. We were seated on the patio, which has a lovely view of the valley and bluffs. Overall, we had a good experience. I would have given the restaurant 5 stars, but they only had one waiter... More

Recently had a prime rib dinner at this unique spot. Great view, super service, with a server that really tried to make this an excellent eating experience. Upstairs seating with wonderful view. Fun evening!

Great experience. We had the bacon rapped filet, Prime Rib grilled and the Olivia. One of the best prime ribs I have ever had. The meal was so good we had to have dessert and the desserts were a major hit. I would definitely recommend the Sunset Grill

Our party of eight enjoyed a great evening of dinning and our waiter, Wendell gave us great service. The unlisted on the menu, Rustler Steak, was superb.

It took 1.5 hours to get our meal. The food was cold and prime rib not edible. The views were great and the local wines very good but overall too expensive given the quality of food. The manager and waiter were nice but the money spent was not worth it.

The view was fabulous but the food was just ok. Our salmon specials for $30 came with plain white rice and unflavored steamed vegetables. Another friend ordered a chicken dish that was ok but not wow. For the prices charged, we expected the food to be better. You are paying for the view I guess.

The Sunset Grill is in the former home of Uranium King Charlie Steen. In the early 1950s Moab was a small farming community. Arches and Canyonlands were places only a lucky few experienced. In 1952 Charles A. Steen, geologist and prospector, put Moab on the world map. The Sunset Grill specializes in hand-cut steaks, prime rib, seafood, and other traditional dishes.
