Waiter was great. The food and the cook were awful!!! The cook made very bad jokes that were inappropriate, using race. He was a young cook. The food was just awful and bland.

We love to eat at Hibachi restaurants. I was excited to see Ichiban had opened since my last visit to Asheville where we at at Asaka (more of an express place). I like when they cook it in front of you. The restaurant was very...More
My husband and I travel to Asheville 2-3 times per year just to visit the Biltmore Estate and unwind. It is one of our favorite places by far. We have our usual places, but were craving hibachi, so we found that this place was just...More
I attended a small dinner meeting at Ichiban. This is the second time I've been here. The first time was also for a meeting. Couple of brief points: * The noise level during busy periods is very high. Many of the tables are U-shaped, with...More
Ordered to go hibachi and sushi. They were super quick getting it ready. Portions were pretty big in the hibachi meal. The sushi was great. They provided all the utensils needed plus all the yummy sauces.
Outstanding lunch hibachi options. In fact, I was really impressed with the extensive lunch menu. The steak hibachi was fantastic, cheap and enough for two meals. The soup was good as well as the seaweed salad.
Have never tried the Ichiban here, but decided to try as we were close by. The atmosphere is very nice, service is good and the food was great. The only problem is traffic getting there, but worth the trouble.

Ichiban is a family favorite whether at the grill or sushi bar. Godzilla and Kobe rolls are scrumptious. Hibachi (filet, chicken, shrimp or scallops) is a dish with which you can’t go wrong. And, the long time staff members are attentive and fun.
