We'd been on the road for several days and ready for a really nice dining experience. Cucina 24 fit the bill! We ordered the 5-course chef's tasting menu (w/ wine flight to go with each course). Each course was exquisite....hard to choose a favorite. The...More

After some research we selected Cucina 24 in the downtown Asheville business area for lunch. There was lots of construction and on street parking was tight. There were parking garages to handle the issue. Also there were handicap places and loading/drop off availability. It was...More

Loved the food, and wine. Every dish we had was wonderful. We did things a la carte. I would have loved to try the tasting menu they had on that evening, however I just wasn't feeling particularly adventurous that night and wanted something more familiar...More

Not your typical Italian restaurant - Dinning room has an earthy vibe and a menu offering a creative take on classic pasta dishes. Extensive and interesting wine list, coupled with efficiet and friendly service, this is a great choice for Italian cuisine in Asheville. Make...More

ordered the family style special. you pick an entrée and they bring you samples of appetizers, sides and dessert. Overall the food was way oversalted. the salad was a collection of obscure greens and a dipping sauce, not very appetizing. The pasta was very good....More

The freshly made pasta is great. The wine list is sufficient, and the service very good. The red sauce was intense and flavorful, but without an "after bite". My wife's spaghetti with mushrooms was exceptional.

I wanted to give a 2 & 1/2 star but rounded it up. First the good news, Our table had Carbonara, Hanger steak, Tagliatelle Bolognese, and Orechhiette. All dishes were delightful. The wine was Troacca Santavenere/ Vion Nobile de Montepulciano which was perfect. Now the...More

Recent anniversary meal with friends. Menu changes daily. Fresh, local ingredients. Very good, prompt service. Menu is ala carte or price fix. Price fix a little pricey @ -$45/person, but probably best deal. Bar choices very good. Setting is calm & quiet. Center of town...More

Tired tasting menu on rec. of wait staff ( Billy). Fresh local ingredients done in Italian style. Great detail to tastes. the antipasto fresh. then pasta deep in flavor. And suckling pig! One of best meals yet. In downtown tourist area but first class.

Stumbled across Cucina while meandering downtown Asheville, thought it looked nice, needed somewhere for dinner. I was glad I did! The food was creative and tasty, and the ambience was hip in a casual, down-to-earth kind of way. They were out of the dish I...More

As indicated by others there is street parking which opens up a bit in the evenings and a City parking garage. If you are staying in a downtown hotel as I did then the restaurant is easy walking distance.

Go right to the garage. It's inexpensive - I think the first hour is free. Even if there is parking on Wall St itself, which happens rarely, the street is quite narrow and your car is at risk. In my opinion.

Description
Chef & owner Brian Canipelli opened Cucina 24 in 2008 on Wall Street in the center of downtown Asheville, NC. Our kitchen is focused on melding the traditions and philosophies of Italian cookery with ingredients found in the mountains of the American South. We work closely with a number of area farms and our menus reflect produce that they bring to us.
