We thought we were lucky enough to catch the last call elevator up to the bar, but it didn't turn out that way. Very cool entrance with an old fashioned elevator and operator but was quickly disappointed upon entering the bar because we were rushed...More

Sky Bar was recommended to us during our food tour, so following the tour we headed over to Sky Bar. It's located on top of the Flat Iron building, so the views are spectacular.

About 20 of us visited the Skybar after my son's and his friend's graduation. What a place! The views are just fantastic and with the sun beating down it is a great place to be! You enter the bar by an old fashioned elevator with...More

This place can get crowded but its worth it. Love what seems like the original elevators and the service staff was friendly. Didnt get to spend much time on the rooftop as a big storm rolled in but we will check it out next time.

Yes, the drinks are expensive but you go here for the view, the atmosphere, the sunset, one or two very good drinks and then you're on your way. Food is fine, but not really the reason to come here per se. Kick back, sip your...More

This place is easy to spot from all around downtown because it is literally a series of balconies at the top of one of the tallest buildings downtown & in the evening the balconies are always packed with people having a great time. It is...More

Take the elevator to the top floor for a great view of the city from above. Limited seating on several levels of what can best be described as the fire escape. Waiters will come and take your order from their limited menu of drinks. The...More

Pay attention to the name Sky BAR because food offerings are minimal if any. Nevertheless the custom made cocktails and the unbelievable views are worth the ride up. You reach the SkyBar on an old fashion elevator driven by friendly folks. Cigar smoking is allowed....More

Description
SkyBar: Asheville's Rooftop Bar and Skyline View. Discover Asheville: A Rare and Beautiful Place! rooftop bar Our skyline view Have you been to Asheville? Be sure that you make plans to visit us. Once here, you'll find yourself totally amazed at how wonderful this place is, with the mountains, beautiful downtown, and our unmistakable mountain vibe. Over the past few years, Asheville has become very well known for our culinary cool, our burgeoning beer scene and our thriving artistic community. On top of that, we have hundreds of miles of panoramic vistas, parkway drives, waterfalls waiting to be discovered, and an amazing downtown scene. Visit us and you'll see why all the locals think that Asheville is an unforgettable escape from the daily grind. During the summer, discover toe-tapping adventures along the new Blue Ridge Music Trail. Get yourself outside, explore our backyard, find outdoor adventures that will have you zipping across mountaintops or riding over river rapids. And, there's always the Blue Ridge Parkway! We all love to take leisurely drives along the Parkway to grab as much breathtaking beauty of mountains, vistas, waterfalls, rock-faces, and wonderful mountain air. Unique bar that was actually a fire escape of a very old building in Asheville. An elevator man takes you up to the 8th floor and you can choose to stay on the level or go down to 7th or 6th floors. A great view for a sunset. Busiest on Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
