First visit this weekend on a girlfriends getaway. The petite filet was amazing. Cooked perfectly, just the right size and the accompanying sides were tasty. Good selection of wines beers and cocktails. Great dessert menu as well. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. Wait staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

We went to dinner at Chestnut's (because of reviews) last Friday night and we were extremely satisfied with the friendly Staff, however, the food was a bit off for the high prices paid. We started with the Charcuterie large plate which was out of this world, especially with the Ayres 2014 Willamette Pinot Noir we brought with us to dinner.... More

Wonderful service and great food. 6 of us and we all ordered something different. Eggs Benedict for me. They were perfect! One person got the Reuben and it looked great. Each of us enjoyed our last meal in Asheville before returning home. It was a high point of our trip

We were there for a Prisoner Wine dinner . The food prepared to go with the wines was very good. The only problem was the noise . It made it very hard to hear the description of the wines.

Someone told me that anything you eat in Asheville will be fantastic so I didn't even check TripAdvisor before setting out with friends for dinner my first night in town. Stumbled upon Chestnut and wasn't disappointed. Jess at the bar and then Sawyer at the table couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. We had a delightful dinner, perfectly cooked... More

The food choices are amazing for a Sunday brunch. I always enjoy the she crab soup no matter what else I have and usually take a pint home. The wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable. This is my go to brunch restaurant. No more expensive than other restaurants close by, but having tried others, I always return.

I had a "grownup toasted cheese sandwich" which was absolutely delicious! It was prepared on a wonderful homemade bread and grilled with butter. It had several different cheeses and carmelized onions which just made it perfect! The server was very attentive and very pleasant. Our meal arrived timely and just as ordered. The restaurant was relatively quite and conversation was... More

This is a nice, airy and cheerful restaurant. We've been here a couple of times and always enjoyed it. Their lobster bisque is delicious. Thick, full of lobster flavour, and and indulgence, to be sure. We had brunch here the last time we visited, and enjoyed the bisque, the goat cheese and beet salad, avocado toast, reuben and a brunch... More

Nice selection of brunch items, breakfast or lunch. Our Niçoise salads were good and the place was busy on a Saturday.

Description
Chestnut is an American restaurant. We are in a 1920s era building in downtown Asheville, right across for the Aloft hotel and the double decker coffee bus. Parking is plentiful (and cheap) at the public deck under the Aloft Hotel.
