This restaurant was our favorite place we visited in downtown Asheville. We had a wait, so we sat at the bar. There are never a shortage of good local brews, so being from out of town, having a great bartender was awesome. She knew so much and was also very fun to talk to. We sat down and were immediately... The smell of sautéed garlic and butter grabs you as you walk though the door - with promises of good things to come! IT's always a good experience here in this small, always packed restaurant. It's a local favorite - good mussels, escargot, and the absolute best Pomme Frites ever. Excellent service.

This French restaurant is the perfect place to have an intimate dinner with you honey or to take your out-of-town guests. The all you can eat Mussels is my choice from the menu, though the portions are so generous I have never gone beyond one bowl! Having said that I could put away more than one serving of the pommes... We had amazing food, fabulous service and absolutely had a wonderful experience..! I must say it with more detail, the food looked, smelled and tasted great! Based on our experience, I look forward to going back and would definitely recommend.

Walked to this restaurant on advice from hotel desk. Began the lunch with French Onion soup, which was very good. Then on to a salad for my wife and a crepe for me. The salad abd dressing was not good. The crepe had no flavor, might as well been card board. Extremely unimpressed. I will add the service was excellent.

I'm not sure if they still offer this, but when I lived in Asheville my friends and I would frequent the "All you can eat Mussels night", which was usually earlier in the week. They make them 5 different ways and they come with a cup of delicious frites! The prices was right around $15....an amazing value! I've also really... More

The truth is that we lived in Brussels for a number of years and are delighted to find good French food right here in Asheville. Even better are the frites, which rival Belgian frites to be honest. They are tasty & one of the best deals in town! The Steak at Poivre is yummy too. And we enjoy their house... More

I treated myself to a short trip to Asheville for my birthday and decided that the night of my birthday I would have a "special" dinner hopefully. There are many, many, MANY restaurants in the city and I looked at several good sounding ones. Bouchon had mostly excellent reviews (although strangely enough 15 "terrible" and I can only wonder about... More

Escargot were delicious, as was wife's onion soup. She got the steak and I got the trout. We split the flourless chocolate cake. Everything was wonderful, as was the service. If back in Asheville, we will return!
